Ultimate ticket - can I keep theM

Hi, looking at the free dining offer for 2015.
Does anyone know if when we get there we can go to guest services and get like a voucher or something for our ticket ie the ability to not use the ticket on the vacation it was purchased with and instead keep it and use it when we go again later in the year?
My mum has an annual pass so she doesn't need the ticket but her pass runs out in July and she's going with my sister in November so could she buy the ticket as part of our package and somehow keep it in paper form or something until November?

It will need to be used for the first time by 31 December 2015 but it doesn't have to used on that trip - it will just sit on your mums MDE profile until she uses it.

IF your (OP) mum's AP is tied to a MDX account, and she uses her magic band to enter the parks, make sure that the AP is prioritized in the tickets section

because she would have both an AP and an ultimate ticket linked to her MDX
the park gate needs to know which of the 2 will be used for entry
if the ultimate is activated by mistake it will still expire 14 or 21 days from activation

trouble is that the prioritize button does not show up with ultimate tickets (or so it was on our last trip)

I have absolutely no idea how it will work, for example to book FP+
if the AP is not linked to mdx, FP+ will still be available since a ticket is also showing on mdx but will the FP+ work if the ticket media has not been activated at the gate ?

You don't have to scan yourself into the park on the ticket in to use the associated FP's linked to the account. However that is the current situation. There is no guarantee that this will be the case in a year or even a week from now.

AFAIK or can tell - the FP+ is only linked to your MDE account and not a specific ticket.

You have to have valid ticket media to make FP+ reservations but it isn't linked them to a specific ticket like the old FP.

Example - we had both APs and 14 day Ultimates on our account last December. We used the APs for entry and had no issues with our FPs. We also removed the Ultimates and upgraded them to new AP certificates which again we had no issues with FPs.
