Which do you think is better/like/enjoy/etc more?

Islands of Adventure or Magic Kingdom???

To me, there's no comparing IOA and MK. MK will always win hands down. We alwys visit Universal while in Orlando, but WDW has something that they don't,and i htink Unversal will never have it.

I don't know. IOA is a damn good park. I can go as far as saying it's probably my most favorite in Orlando. While MK is probably my least favorite. Really, the only thing I like about MK anymore is the Castle and COP. Everything else is for the kids. IOA is a great park. Very well done in all aspects.

I Love both parks, I'm huge into coasters so you would think I'd vote for IOA, but I gotta go with MK, something about walking into that place seeing the castle or watching Wishes at the end of the night. Also IOA needs another major ride or coaster, the park has some great rides but aside from a couple minor rides it's opened it's basically the same park from when it opened 7 years ago. The difference between both parks is MK has a magic that will never go away while IOA, being geared to thrill rides leaves you wanting newer and better thrills, Hulk, Dragons and Spidey are great but you gotta make something new as it's what thrill riders crave!!!

You can't compare the two really they are so different and not in competition wth one another.

I love USO also...just as much as WDW but for different reasons.

I have to agree IOA is a damn good park. The rides are cool and rxciting and the park is much easier to navigate....less walking + FOTL =more relaxation time.

The FOTL for on site guests is :thumbsup2

Not to be rude, but I like Carowinds better than IOA. MK in a lanslide!

I don't feel it is fair for me to vote since I have not been to MK since the 70's. IOA I have visited about a dozen times since 2000. Even so, I am not sure you are comparing apples to apples. I will soon visit both MK and IOA ( :goodvibes ) and I am sure they will each appeal to me for very different reasons.

Let me guess... you are somewhere between 18 & 28 -- with no kids. Am I right?
IMHO most of the attractions at IOA are aimed at teens and young adults.

Personally I prefer the details of Disney... but I have a younger child and I'm not into thrill rides.

Hey... do what you love! For me it's ::MinnieMo ::MickeyMo pluto: :tinker:

Your joking right.... Definately Magic Kingdom. But I'm not a big thrill ride person, I love shows and that type of thing.

I like both, but I must go with MK. The magic just isn't there with IOA! Still, I will be spending a couple of days there in two weeks!

Never been to Carowinds, but it states my point, thrill seeker parks need bigger and newer thrill rides to keep you coming back and IOA hasn't been doing that, I still love it but I've been to parks like Cedar Point and Six Flags over Georgia and they constantly are putting in new coasters and have a real nice lineup of coasters. I probably would put both of these parks ahead of IOA, Cedar Point for sure!!!

You can't really compare IOA and MK as they are just two different things.MK is the top attendance park anywhere for a reason, and IOA being a very nicely themed park with some good rides needs a new major ride as this is what keeps people coming back.

I'm 31 with a 4 year old son. And guess where I'm taking him for his 5th birthday? That's right, 6 days/7 nights at WDW. Clicky the linky in my siggy.

Wow... I guess you're young at heart! :thumbsup2

Your trip plan sounds great!! Have fun!

I thought Islands of Adventure was a terrific park -- I loved the theming and landscaping. However, the MK got my vote. Islands of Adventure is geared more towards teens and adults as the MK is for families. My dh is not a thrill ride person -- doesn't do coasters, have never been on TT, ToT, SM, etc. For him and my 2 small children, Islands of Adventure was a waste of money. There were 3-4 rides for the kids in Toon Landing but that was it.

I have to vote for MK as I hate Roller Costers and that seems to be all that IOA has except for Spiderman.

MK is the place to be, nothing like it, and never will be. It will always be my first stop and last stop.
