Ukrainian Eggs

I do Ukrainian Eggs and I was wondering if I could share any of my knowledge. Mine are not well yet, as I'm just starting. Some of mine are good , other are just . Anyone else do them?

Do you know the history of them? There was a class here last year through Community Ed so I asked my dd's skating coach and her Mom about them. They are both from the Ukraine and said they hadn't heard of them until they moved here.

In Ukraine, around Easter, they make these to word off evil spirets. The more eggs made, the less evil things would happen.

What are they?

Using special tools, you melt beeswax and draw on your RAW egg. Then you dip it in special dyes. After a while, you melt the wax off and blow (empty) your egg. It's a great hobby.

LOL Me too. Don't eat these. the dye sometimes goes on the egg.

I once hollowed out an egg and used multiple dyes to color it. It was a LONG process and nowhere near as complex as a Ukrainian style egg. I admire your patience and attention to detail!
