Uk resudent-easy or difficult to plan?

Hi there

Basically I'm looking to get married in 2015. 4 adults, 2 children. I would love a disney wedding but don't know how easy this would be to plan from the UK? And I'm so confused in regards to packages etc

Any advice would be appreciated

Most correspondence, if I understand correctly, is done by email, so the time difference across the pond isn't that big a deal. It only becomes a little difficult if you need to speak to your planner during business hours.

Buy this book: http://www.passporter.com/weddings.asp. Much of what it says applies to the uk too. Pay special attention to the marriage license section.

Listen to this podcast: http://disneyweddingpodcast.com/. It overlaps the book but it also clarifies lots of things too. I think there was a uk bride as one of the guests too, but I'm not positive.

If you're looking at 2015, you have plenty of time. Disney doesn't allow confirming a wishes wedding date until one year out and an escape wedding date until 8 months out.

Yes, both the book and the podcast go into detail on all that. Escape weddings are package deals that cost roughly $5000 and are limited to 18 guests or fewer. There is no reception in this package, but you can add a two-hour reception for an additional fee. I think that takes the cost up to $8000, but I'm not positive.

Wishes weddings are completely customizable and you have to spend a minimum amount of money, anywhere from $10,000 for a wedding in Monday, Tuesday, or Wednesday morning, to $20,000 for a Saturday evening wedding. You can spend more than that amount; these amounts are simply the minimum you have to spend. Disney supplies a wedding planner to work with you.

The license can be obtained from the courthouse when you get there - go first thing in the morning and it will take you about 20 mins and you'll walk out $95 lighter but with your marriage license in hand

I think you can arrange your license by mail too. You'll need a couple things witnessed in the uk, the equivalent of a notary in the us.
