Weeeeee!
I just finally got someone on the phone! A man answered and when I asked for the Queen he responded he was the Queen. We bantered on a bit and he said Mary Poppins just flew by and he'd just been to the Rose & Crown. Then he broke character and said "I'm not going to lie, this is so fun." (the phone call) The people he was with were laughing in the background and he told them not to interrupt the Queen while she was talking, that it was poor form.

(Turns out he wasn't the Queen or even British at all but some guy from Orlando.)

DD(11) and I tried calling a few days ago. She thought it was hilarious. I was hung up on once, and kept getting busy signals most of the time.I did get through to a young man finally. I asked for Mary Poppins. He said she wasn't there right now, and we talked for a bit. He must of thought someone was playing with him there in the park. I told him I wasn't there and I couldn't see him. Then he asked me if I was high. I told him I probably needed to go now. He stopped me.... he must have been enjoying it too. He told me that Mary Poppins had just come out but was with some guests. We talked for a little bit more before I let him go. He didn't seem to be having a good time on his vacation.

One of DD's friends is in The World now. We talked to the mom, and told her to let us know if they go back to Epcot. DD wants to call the phones when they're near there and surprise her friend!

I was there last week and called. The phones were still working fine. I tried to talk to a young couple there taking pictures. They just hung up on me. Prior to that I had my youngest daughter go to the phone and sit there. I called without her knowing that I was doing it. She answered the phone and just said hello. I said "hello monkey" and she just replied "Daddyyyyy!!!????" She was completely perplexed at how I had done this. We all had a good laugh.

They are still working - I was holding a youth group activity with some of the youth from my church and I had mentioned this to some of the girls and they just had to try it. They has a blast pretending to be Victoria Beckham, The Queen and Alice in Wonderland - although I think they gave it away when they asked the person on the other end if they had seen Johnny Depp =) It was so much fun! Have fun calling it.

The heat index here has been around 106. She was probably hot, tired and just not feeling the "magic". Don't stress over it.
