A couple of months ago, someone posted telephone numbers to the phone booths in the United Kingdom. I would like to add the telephone number to the photo of the booths in my photo album, but my attempts to use the search function to locate this info have not worked.

TIA to anyone who has and is willing to share this info!

These are the numbers I have wrote down from a past post. However, I've never tried them.

(407) 827-9862
(407) 827-9863
(407) 827-9861

YEAH!!!! MY 1,000th POST!!!!!!!!!!!!

Anyway.... Here is what I found

Here are the numbers, from last time I was there in 2007.

Standing in front of all three phones, the one on the left is 407-827-9862, the one in the middle ends is the same but ends with 3, and the one on the right is the same but ends with 1.

:]

This info was on this thread

THANK YOU for the quick replies, and CONGRATULATIONS on your 1,000th post. Glad I was a part of it.

I had the numbers during our trip in July. I called once when someone was in the booth. At first the line was busy. Then I called again a few seconds later and the people in the booth rushed out in a panic!:goodvibes

Thanks again!

I had a little fun with the phone booths last weekend.
It seems that the center booth (#2) and the right booth closer to the sidewalk (#3) work fine for about 5 rings or so, then you get a fax machine noise and get cut off. The booth closest to the restrooms, on the left (#1) never did ring using the number above.

Anyway, I stood pretty far away and had my back to the booth while a friend acted as a lookout. I did actually get a few people to pick up. Some just hung right up, but a few did chat with me. I got spotted by one person, after I complimented her shoes! She looked around quickly and caught me.:lmao:
We chatted and had a good laugh. I did my best fake British accent, which was terrible. I should have told them that it was part of the Kim Possible mission and that they had to go into the Rose & Crown and buy me a top-shelf margarita, then leave it in the phone booth and move along to the next country. :smooth:

Thanks for the laughs!
I will have to remember this next trip!! DD was born in the UK and she remembers being there and the red phone booths that we have a million pictures of her in calling someone.
So this trip she spotted them and had to go get a picture in "England" in the phone booths.
I'll have to call her from my cell next time! She will love it :)
Wonder if you dial 999 from the booth if you will be connected to emergency services ? :rotfl2:

It would be interesting if they went that far in realism...I do know that in Anaheim, at DCA, if you call 911 from their phone booth in the backlot, you get *immediate* security response. Not very happy security response, either, if no one actually needed emergency help. So I don't recommend trying either 911 or 999!

After calling the booths about a zillion times, I suddenly wondered if I was calling the UK!
Then, I realized that they are 407 numbers. Whew! :rolleyes1
HAHAHA
I remember when we moved over there I thought I would never get our phone number memorized.I did..and that was the only one I could.Thank goodness for the phone directory.I had to even keep hubby's work numbers on the fridge.
BUT I did remember 999!! That was the first one I learned.

Have any of you ever called when you weren't there at the booth? For instance, from your home? Or from somewhere else in the park/another park? Seems like it would be more fun to call when you can watch their reaction.... but I imagine some of you Disers wanted to "spread the magic" even when you weren't there!

I was just thinking the same thing.. and thinking hmmm, wonder how many dissers are reading this thread and calling the phone booths right now and messing with people. though what time is it.. unless an EHM night, no one there, huh?

I pulled this on my 2 dd 14 & 12 in July. It was hilarous to see them jump when the phone rang. They picked up and my husband asked to speak to the queen. After we told them it was us they had alot of fun pulling it on other people.

:rotfl2: The Queen! That's perfect!!!
I told one man that I was Mary Poppins and that I recommend the "bangers & mash" at the Rose & Crown. He didn't say much, but he did tell his family about it after he hung up and they had a laugh. I wondered afterwards whether he thought it was an official Disney thing, but how could he think that, when my accent was such a mess? I sounded more like Eliza Dolittle from My Fair Lady, than like MP!:laughing::laughing:

I thought about calling when I wasn't there to watch, but actually several minutes often go by, before anybody stops by the booths. If you weren't there to watch, you could call a million times before someone picked up.

I keep the numbers in my phone, along with the number from the booth in Canada. I just call every once in a while hoping to get an answer.

I did get someone to pick up while I was walking by one trip. They were quite surprised. I haven't thought of putting on a Brit Accent. I will next time.

As for the Fax tone on some of the booths, I think it is the Telex machines picking up. I know a number of phones in the area have Telex connections.

Oh, thanks. That must explain the tone you get after several rings.
BTW, what is Telex? :confused3

;)
I just saved the numbers in my phone. We leave for WDW on Friday!!!!

I'm going to try to call and get one of my boys to pick up and ask for them by name.

Awesome.

I love messing with my kids. That's one of the reasons I had 'em. That and for getting me a Diet Pepsi out of the fridge.:rolleyes1

Most of the people who go over to the phone booths are posing for pictures. Maybe one of you can stall them to set up a photo op while the other one calls the booth. I never did have luck getting the first booth (left) to ring, using the number posted. The middle & right booths work great, though.

Good luck with this. Let us know how it goes, okay? :rotfl:

ooh nice! Just saved these in my phone! :lmao:
I saw someone mention the Canada booth as well- does anyone have that phone number?
