I experienced a new level of dumb at MickeyD's tonight!!!

I placed an order, part of which included two hamburgers with ketchup only. So he hands me this bag and says "We upgraded you to cheeseburgers."

Well, I thought I must have misheard him, so I asked him what he said.

He said "They messed up and put cheese on them. We didn't charge you or anything. Is that okay?"

Ummmmm.........hello???? Knock-knock, anyone home???? If I had wanted cheeseburgers, I would've ordered cheesebrugers!!!

So I hand the bag back and he hands it to the cook and says "She says they HAVE to be hamburgers!"

Then they screwed it up and put everything on them.

My youngest likes cheeseburgers with lettuce only. I can't count how many times I've had to say "yes, with cheese".

Sounds like you went to my local McD's. When they make a mistake, they usually give me apple pies (I'm allergic to cinnamon:rolleyes: ). Most of the time I order my food there without cheese. And if my kids EVER order a hamburger kids meal, you'd think I was trying to kill them if I gave them cheeseburgers instead.

Well, at least you got a burger.;)

I can't tell you how many times we have ordered food through their drive-thru, only to get home and find out that there were no burgers in the Happy Meal bags. One time, I was so upset that I drove right back to McD's and the lady at the window kept telling me "It can't be". I told her that "It was so" and I didn't even get an apology. Now, I check all the bags before I drive away.

I always check the bags. It's been toooo many times that my kids didn't get what they ordered. I don't move until I know we've got everything.

older dd will not eat cheeseburgers. she like cheese but not on the burger.

I've had to return several burgers to fast food places.

You want fries with that??;)

I like when you go inside & they say...Is that for here or to go...
Just say to go, and it will be cheaper...then just sit down & eat...:smooth:

My wife hates American Cheese and we have this problem at Wendy's all the time. She happens to like Bacon. Try to get a Bacon Hamburger, it's darn near impossible.

I don't like onion, and I can't tell you how many times you get onion. I've watched them try to pick off the onion and attempt to hand it back to me. Well onion leaves it's taste so, I'm get downright insistant about getting a new burger. I'll go as far as saying hey I'm allergic (which I'm not but it usually ends the discussion).

While we are at it, don't you hate being asked if you want something you didn't order? Local Burger King's were using a new system which would tell you what you could buy with the change so that you wouldn't ever get any coins back. I find it very obnoxious, myself.

I was a real pain. I would order the double cheeseburger even when it wasn't on the menu. I never had a problem, and it was always hot. :)

The last two times in a row I've ordered a plain cheeseburger (yes, I like my cheeseburgers plain :p ) at McD's they've come fully loaded.

I've had to start doing the same thing. I like Jack in the Box, but they seem to put mayo on everything, even some of thier breakfast sandwiches. I hate mayo, and aslo the imitation stuff. When I ask for something without it they look at me as if I am a freak. I then play the allergy card to "end the discussion" as you say.

Also, I have finally reached a point where I will NOT use the drive through. It is quicker to go in once than to go through the drive thru twice, or park and go in to get them to change an order. Also, I went through the Drive thru at McDs once late at night and was told to park while they got my order ready. They closed up without bringing my order. I only realized this when I saw the lights going off. Needless to say I went up to teh door and pounded on it until I got my money back.

Try ordering a no meat cheeseburger...they look at you like you having your head on backwards or something.

We don't have Jack in the Box in NJ, so when I was out in California about a month ago and we stopped at one I was quite unpleasantly surpised to find Mayo on a sausage sandwich. I like mayo but not with sausage.

Speaking of which, another thing that drives me nuts is that Burger King and McDonalds in some places put mustard on their hamburgers and others they don't. I wish they would be consistant, because I hate mustard on hamburger. The problem is I get used to being told, we don't put mustard on such and such and then you go to another location and they do.

I know that this seems to be a southern thing, but I have seen it within NJ at McD's. Burger King only seems to do this in the south.

That's ridiculous. Are you saying they wouldn't put onions on a Big Mac when you wanted it that way?

"Upgraded"?? Did you get some frequent flyer miles with those fries Kristy? LOL!! ;) :teeth:

I don't blame you for being frustrated, and it was insulting for them to act like they were doing you a favor instead of just admitting they screwed up and making it right. . .

My typical McDonalds conversation:

"Hi I would like a quarter pounder without cheese"

"Would you like cheese on that?"

"No. WITHOUT Cheese"

"Ok" yells back "Quarter-ham."

After looking in the bag, "I specificaly ordered NO cheese."

"Oh yeah" staring blankly like they have no consept of what to do next

"Can I see the manager?"

We must have had your fast food workers cousin here in Springfield... DD eats her CHEESEburgers plain... DH went to MCD's and ordered her a plain cheeseburger... using those exact words... the person taking the order, didn't understand so my DH reiterates "a plain cheeseburger... nothing on it"... DD got a meat patty, period... No cheese, no bun, nothing:rolleyes:
