I am in a bit of a dilema here. I booked a savanah room at AKL (at a great price $166 p/n) and we are going June 24th thru July 1st. There are 4 of us. Me, hubby, son(15) and daugher(12) and now I think my 17 year old son wants to go. He said he didn't want to before we booked.

Now, here's my question. Can I upgrade? It's all paid for too. Is there a room there that can accomodate 5 that isn't a suite? Can you get a cot or something in a deluxe room? Or can I get one in my savanah room? I have been looking on allears and can't figure out what type of room has what kind of accomodations. :confused3

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Thank you

I thought the Savannah Deluxe rooms did have a daybed that can accomadate 5?? Are you in a reg Savannah or Savannah Deluxe? You need to call Disney and ask

You should be able to get 5 in a Deluxe room. And since your son is 17 you shouldn't have to pay any extra for him to be in there. You should be able to just add him to the reservation.

The rooms that accomdate 5 people at AKL are called Deluxe Savannah view rooms.

Some (but not all) of the Deluxe rooms have a day bed, a bunk bed and a queen bed so will sleep 5. I don't know how many of those they have though and the Deluxe rooms are more expensive.

Jodi,

AKL has deluxe rooms that will sleep five, I looked into them before we decided to to two rooms.

Just give them a ring

Good luck

We are a family of 5 and we are staying in a "deluxe savannah view" room in August. It has 1 Queen, 1 Bunkbed, and 1 daybed. It is a different room category than the regular savannah view rooms and it was more expensive. With an AP rate, I'm paying like $294 a night (with taxes, etc).

and there are no rooms available for 5 or more people at all during our scheduled time.I would have to switch resorts. During my phone call my son threw a hissy telling me he does not want to go so why bother calling them. :confused3 That lil stinker. So, it's back to the original plan.

Thanks for the help though. Now I know for the next time just in case he DOES want to go.

Bye

Totally off topic, but aren't 17/18yo sons fun?? :sad2:

I've got one of each, and every time I try and even say hi, they roll those eyes. I was so glad to have my oldest home from school, but now I wish he would go back!! :confused3

Just ranting!! Continue on with WDW rooms for 5 discussion.

Just FYI, if your not set on AKL, we always get two values. King connecting to two doubles. Plenty of room!!

It doesn't get any better...ds12 is just delightful...

As hard as it is, it's nice because he's still young enough and wants those hugs...just not in public. It is challenging at times and the eyerolls are fun. Love the constant under the breath comments, too. :teeth:
