Uh...gee...thanks?

I had a cat that loved to bring us a mouse or two during the summer. You'd let her in the house without knowing what little gift she had just brought.

My mom had a dog that had a unique ability to catch birds in midflight. More than once he would bring her a bird as a gift- thankfully, most of them flew away the moment he dropped it from his mouth. Of course, he also loved to bring home other small critters as well.

My oldest cat used to love to bring in dead or half dead birds. What a mess! Half dead injured birds flying around the house do not make for a fun afternoon. :scared: Thank goodness as she aged she gave that up.

My dog loves to catch squirrels. Over the summer sometime she caught one and we saw her prancing around the yard with it but couldnt get her to drop it. After a few hours we went looking for it but with no luck, she must have burried it somewhere. About 3 weeks later, (we have doggy doors that she uses to get in and out) she comes in through her door and makes a mad dash for her bed. Hey, guess what she brought in? That petrified squirrel!:scared1:

The even better part was maybe two weeks ago she comes in through her door carrying something brown and covered in leaves. We start panicking and yelling at her to get out of the house because we thought it was another dead animal. She drops it on the carpet, looks at us like we have 10 heads, and then we realize it was just a bone. This dog makes everyday life interesting.
