My 60 day window opened up this morning. I stayed up till 12:00 eastern to grab the most coveted FP+ and nothing! First, trying to figure out how to work MDE was a challenge. Not being able to play around with it before your window was a hassle. After an hour of figuring out how to schedule the FP+s and changing times, days, splitting up the group...then all was good.

I secured most of the FP+s before calling it a night at 2AM!! Woke up this morning at 7:30am with fresh eyes, a better understanding of how to get through the system and divide our group up, I was able to secure the rides and times with the exception for A&E.

We are a party of nine. I split our group so the possibility of just two of us grabbing A&E would be better....nothing....the whole week! Ughhh. Just a little irritated right now because I want to be done with planning. We're going the third week in September and we just need to secure A&E, Tusker House or Ohana breakfast pre-park opening and done!!

Oh, well, I guess I'll keep stalking. It won't be the end of the world, but it sure would be nice to have those and call it a day.

Sorry to hear about that. That sounds incredibly frustrating. I don't like to plan out my theme park experiences that extensively, but now I feel like with FP+ I'd better do so or miss out!

With apologies for being a new guy here, but what is A&E? I've searched for a couple of minutes and can't figure it out.

My window opened today as well. I too stayed up to book my fastpasses last night. I was able to get A&E fastpasses for my trip but when I tried to move them to times that are convenient for my family I was unable to do so. at 12:45am there were "no other options".

Good luck

Anna & Elsa meet & greet :)

Anna and Elsa meet and greet. FYI, I wouldn't have stayed up to book my FPs if I wasn't trying to get A&E. There was plenty availability for everything, including 7DMT at midnight and then again at 7:30am and 11:30am when I went back to check. We are also going in September, so depending on what you want and time of year should determine whether you need to book immediately or not. Really if you don't need A&E during a low season, then you don't have to book immediately. High season, A&E, book immediately, if you can.

Good luck and enjoy your trip!!

Wow, that's crazy. I agree with your comment...I mean, why would it be sold out in September when it's low season?

Keep checking. Every evening for 4 or 5 days, I checked Anna & Elsa's FastPass availability during our trip.

I couldn't get all 4 of us in, but 2 spots eventually opened up for mom & daughter.

A&E has become panic zone again now for September because park hours are lower and they do not book FP for the Halloween parties. So, even though the overall crowds are lower, there are less FP+ available and still a high demand for people that want them!

We are going in Sept and on my 60 day mark I could only get an A&E FP for the very last day of our trip (60+7) at 12:40pm (which was the earliest available). So literally the last thing we will do before we leave for the airport!!!

This is simliar to the BOG fiasco where people with longer trips (+10) get first dibs and those who have shorter trips might lose out. We were lucky to get one on our last day (+7) and I booked it first, at 12:01am.

Wow. My window opens next Tuesday for my sept trip. Looks like
I'll be up late that night making sure I get Anna and Elsa

Good idea. We have magic kingdom for Monday and Friday.
If can't get Monday hopefully Friday will be an advantage for us.

It a must for us

My FP+ time is in roughly 36 hours. I agree it would be good to have a window into the process. I've been able to access MK FP+ screens but for July and Aug......which seems odd. So I have seen it a bit...........

I am curious...........Did all 4 parks come up at Midnight for you?

For anyone else is there a better primer out there that will help prep for this...........ADR Day seems easier than FP+ Day feels like its gonna be.

It is crazy! I did read on the DIS to start booking your last day first and move inward, which I did, and I was booking A&E first, so going through all the days, last day first, and still didn't get anything. Such a bummer!!

My window came up right at 12:10 eastern and my whole week opened up all at once, so you can choose which day you want to start with, next you choose the park, if I remember, select the members of your party and then a list of the attractions show up, grayed out if unavailable, check your three, select next and then your time choices show up. From what I understood reading on here, choose the opposite times of your choice so you can go in and change the times easier to match your original times. For instance, we are park hopping, so all my FPs are for the afternoon. I chose the morning selection times and then went back to change my times for the afternoon to my desired times without worrying about overlapping those preset times that were already chosen. Splitting the party was another fun time! After playing around for an hour, I figured it out and it's been a simple process now going in and checking for my coveted A&E FP.

Good luck!!

It may the size of your party. I was on at midnight and was able to get A&E for 4, but not on our first MK day. Keep trying, though, because there may be overlapping times yu can get or someone may cancel.

Thanks! My party was already split so I was just looking for 2 spots starting with my last day first, checking every day b/c we have hoppers. Maybe it was that darn hour of trying to figure it out and hoping I got it right before I actually knew how to do everything. :crazy2:

Trust me, I'm checking every opportunity I can. ;)

My friend was up this morning at midnight and couldn't get A/E either. It seems strange it's mid sept? I booked mine 2 weeks ago for early sept. and had no problems. They have 7 and I suggested breaking up her party.

Thanks for the info and advice. The info about starting later in the trip is actually good stuff. A&E would be fun (for our grand-daughter to see us with them) but we're in MK 2 days and one of those is MNSSHP night. More interested in Soar'in and 7DMT....... In the end we're going in Sept..........slower time.........no big deal if we have to wait a bit. Its DISNEY!!!! :cool1:

What's the deal with this? Is Disney cutting back on the number of FP's in September due to lower crowds? I don't remember people having a problem with it a few months ago and that was for the crazy summer crowds.

Kind of. Shorter park hours basically. Plus the addition of the Halloween parties (MK closes at 7 a lot in Sept) which is even less FP+ availability for A&E... they are still just as in demand as before even with lower overall crowd levels but because of the limited park hours, there are less FP+ available.

This ^^ and because there may be only one room open instead of two because they may reduce staff. I booked my A&E on Mon. at 12:10 a.m. and didn't have a problem but I did get mine towards the end of the trip. I was able to do 4 at a time but even then they weren't available before 11 or 12. I would keep trying because people play around with their times. Try at the 45 day mark because that is when the balance is due for those of us who have packages and people may cancel.

I'm new here, and I've only been to WDW once, 7 years ago. We are attending again in April at the Beach Club. If the crowds are smaller, and everyone is FPing the A&E, would the wait time in line not be as bad w/o a FP? Again, I'm hardly an expert, but maybe just waiting in line wouldn't be AS bad as it normally would???
