UGH! Why can't I book my dining?

I click on my reservation through My DVC, and it will let me book the first day, but I can't book dining for the next ten days like I should be able to do.

Anyone know what I might be doing wrong?

I found the instructions here about trying through the old site,and I was able to get in, but still could not book my chef's table ressie I wanted for Vic. & Alberts. We check in on 12/15, and I want to reserve that for 12/17, but it says the restaurant either doesn't exist or doesn't take reservations. I'm quite sure THAT is not true.

I couldn't book any character dining earlier today for early December when I was trying and I can't imagine there's no times at all already...maybe there were problems with the site today??m

Of course I could also have been having a blonde moment but I managed to book Tusker House the other day without any trouble

I used the old site to book my +10 and it worked great. However, I could not book HDD for October online from either site and it's under the 180 days. So I had to call MS to book it. When you book through MS, remember to make sure that they have your correct email address and make sure they attach a phone number to the reservation that you normally use online. If they do, it will show up online with your other reservations. If they don't show up, call MS and check which email and phone number are listed. I had to do this and once the CM changed the email and phone number, my ADR shows up in my list of reservations now.

I tried to go through the old site, and now my ID and password won't work on the DVC site!!! It's asking for my original code. Believe me...THAT has been gone for YEARS! Looks like I'll have to call MS to do ANYTHING now. I can't even access my DVC account anymore.

the dvc website was down this morning for all, not just you. Like you it asked me for my code too. i was just back on it a few minutes ago and it worked fine.

I linked my Dec room reservations to MDE, but was unable to book 180+ 10. I was able to use the old website after linking my room res. over there and got BOG using 180+ 10. Wish the new website had better functionality.

Not sure what problems you are having, I booked 180 +10 on Sunday morning on the new web site and from Canada even without difficulty. It would not let me even look ahead before the booking window opened on Sunday morning though.

I had the same problem last month and though I prefer to do it online I just ended up calling to make them all. As soon as I would make one it would show up in my Disney Experience then we would move to the next ADR so it turned out okay.

I was able to do mine a couple of weeks ago, but only through Firefox. For some reason it wouldn't work if I was logged into My Disney Experience in Internet Explorer. What was really strange was the link I had for the old dining page, brought me to the old page in IE and the new page in Firefox.

I am SO DISAPPOINTED! We are celebrating our 45th anniversary on our trip this December, and the highlight was going to be that we were dressing formally and doing the Chef's Table at Victoria and Albert's. If I had known that I coudn't even do that on line at all, I would have called yesterday morning, but I thought I could book it online. Well, AFTER I called and got my other things booked (MS rep told me to wait with the V&A until we were done), I found out you can only do it by calling the restaurant directly. I quick got off the phone with MS and called V & A, but they were completely booked for Chef's Table all 10 days of our reservation. This was to be t he highlight of our celebration, and I blew it! SO MAD AT MYSELF for not insisting on doing the V & A first. I'm not at all happy that the MS rep didn't tell me that at the beginning of our conversation. He knew I was most anxious to book that, but he told me he had special instructions for that he would give me later. I think truth be known, he didn't KNOW the information when he told me that. The representative at the restaurant got us into the Queen's room, but we couldn't get Chef's Table that we wanted. She did put us on a waitlist though for ANY day of our trip. Keeping my fingers crossed it comes up!

I had the same problem a couple of weeks ago and ended up having to call to schedule the rest of the weeks reservations.

We're checking in on December 15th too!!! At BLT.

I was able to make mine through the old site, no problems, yesterday. Got everything I wanted including BOG! So excited.

FYI, I tried through the old site on the correct day, but couldn't access that either. Disney IT is such a disaster.

I really hate that I'm going to be spending nearly $1000 for a meal at V & A and still not getting the Chef's Table. The Queen's room is the same price without the personalized menus
