I got up at 4:30 to get to the polls before they opened, only to find that everyone else had the same idea. ;) At 5:45 there were at least 200 people in line!

So I go to Starbucks and McDonalds for breakfast. What else could I do? :rolleyes1

I get off work at 2:15 and head over, there isn't any line, and come to find out THERE ARE 2 PRECINCTS VOTING AT THE SAME PLACE!!!!!!!

How is this good? Double the people and it wasn't any bigger space an normal. It was crazy.

I had that all the time at the polling place I used to go to. We had at minimum 3 or 4 precincts together in one place. It was usually a madhouse, and I can only imagine what a nightmare it had to have been today!! :scared1:
Since we recently bought a house in another part of the city, we voted in our new precinct today for the first time. It was just our precinct. It was nice. I only had to wait about 40 minutes.

I didn't vote until 3:30 today. When I got there they said that there were so people that hadn't already been in that they could almost guess a person's name before they said it. I was in and out within 5 minutes easily. DD was grateful b/c I had prepped her to have her homework ready to work on and a movie on the ipod for her to watch b/c I thought that it would be packed. Thanks to all of you that voted early & went in this morning. It sure made it easier on me. ;) :rotfl:

We had three precincts togather for the Primary. I voted early for the general election, I wasn't going to fight the crowd. Of course, the fact that everyone had to wait to caucus after the primary polls closed in Texas was a mess, too.

DH and I voted at 4:45 pm today. We have 4 precincts in the same auditorium and there were ... 2 people in line in front of us. And since our decisions were all made, including the referendum questions, it was in and out inside of 15 minutes! Couldn't have been easier!

Wouldn't it be nice if after waiting in these horrendous lines to vote we got to ride Rock n Roller Coaster or Splash Mountain after voting to make the wait feel better. :p I never seem to mind lines as much if there is a Disney World ride at the end of it.

I just got back from WDW and our voting line was longer than any of the rides we had to wait on lol. My feet/back still haven't recovered from WDW so I was really having line dejavu.
