Ugh! This is so frustrating....

OKay, I just had an idea!
We'll be arriving late on June 24. So I'm thinking for that first night, I'll just find some cheapo hotel to stay at.

Then the next day the 25th, I'll check into RPR (with the 2 rooms), but only for 1 night.

But if I understand correctly, that will give me use of the FOTL pass for that day, the 25th and the 26th. Right??

How early can I check in on the 25th, get the FOTL passes and head to the park? Anyone know?

:
if you stay on site on june 25th, the fotl is valid for the 25th and the day you check out on the 26th. i'm positive on this.

i check into hrh around 7:00ish am when i go to universal.
i get the room key that is used for fotl.

i can leave my cell number with the front desk so they can call me to tell me my room number.
or, i can ask any TM to call hrh for me and get the info for me.

you do not have to go back to the front desk for any modifying of your room key.
once they assign you a room, they automatically code it into the cards you have in your possession.

store your luggage in the hotel luggage hold area, check into the hotel, get your keys and then go to the park.

sorry about my other post, didn't read your last post completely. thought you planned to stay off site.

have a fun vacay.

Thanks everyone for your ideas and thoughts! :thumbsup2

I think the plan will work out alright and even thought we won't have FOTL the whole time, two days are better then none. So I'm cool with that.

Speaking of cool, now if I could just figure out a way around the Florida heat and humidity...... :rolleyes1 :rotfl2:

Thanks again, and everyone who has trips coming up have a great time!! :woohoo:

I think thats a great idea Beth. You will love the Universal resorts and atleast have the FOTL for 2 days.

IOA is a quick park to get through especially if you have little ones that cant or wont ride the coasters. I would do US one day then IOA the next morning. Then if you have time--and you probably will go back to US to do your favorites once more with you pass.

Evan was big enough this time to do the Mummy and he loved it but he is still to short for the Hulk and DD.

Beth, your plan sounds great - we have done the same thing several times - stayed off property the 1st night, then checked in early the next morning - our rooms weren't ready but we got our room keys. Then do the rides with the longest lines and save the shorter lines for the days when you're staying off property. Smart thinking! Have a great trip!

Thanks. That's good to know. And we will have a good one, I'm sure. When we finally go that is.

It was supposed to be this coming week, but possible plans to move to Vegas have thrown a wrench in those plans.

Oh well, what can you do. At least now I have a plan for when we do finally go, which we will. Just not this week. ;)

Thanks again to everyone who had input. :)

Is it very crowded on 18 and 19 August? Is it a must to buy the Universial Express?

I will be spending a week in Orlando from 13 to 19 August. Four days in Disney value resorts. We are university students and hence not so much money to spend on accommodation.

From the previous posts, Is that possible for me that I can stay in RPR for a night (18 - 19 August) so that I can check in at 8a.m., get the room key for the FOTL pass, keep the lugguage in the luggage hold area and head for Universial Studio? How about the next day then? Is that I have to return the room key in the morning? How can I continue to enjoy the FOTL pass the next day?

Please tell me what I can do as I want to book the hotel as soon as possible.

You can use your room key for FOTL access the day you check in--all day and the day you check out--all day. You keep your keys, no need to return them.
