UGH! There's always that ONE kid!

You know that kid, the friend of your kid... the one that annoys you to no end!!

Well he's here right now. It isnt that he's a bad kid, he doesnt mean to be, it's just that he is such a pain.
Ive been watching them during the break from school and I'm going crazy!

He is in grade one and just annoying as all get out.
He was teasing Kate for talking to fast and I got angry with him, I was pretty hard on him, but I really believe that a childs house is the one place they should never have to fear being teased and made fun of.

He's done a lot more than that too and just now he walked all over my freshly cleaned carpet with dog poop on his shoes after I told them to take off their shoes before they came in!

Then he starts crying " Its all my fault" ( say that in a really annoying whine)

Vent all you want, I can completely sympathize. We've got a neighbor who comes over and always bosses my dd's around. I get after her and she says "I can do what I want, I'm the guest, remember???" (Uh, no, that's not right! )
Okay, my vent is out now too.

I'll vent too. My DD has a friend who is a very sweet girl, but she NEVER stops talking. Never. There was some question of who my DD would bring along to WDW, and DH and I both agreed we couldn't take 2 1/2 days of driving in a car with this little chatterbox. I am positive she would talk the entire 1500 miles. Without taking a breath.

Your problem sounds worse, teasing is going too far. At least this non-stop talker is a good girl.

Oh, boy can I relate. There is this one friend of DDs who drives me nuts. When its time to clean up after playing, she tells me she can't because her dad told her she isn't allowed to clean up She argues with me when she doesn't get the answer she wants and every time she and DD can't agree on what to play with she does the old 'well, if you won't play what I want to play then I'm going home and NEVER coming back!' routine Of course I'm thinking to myself 'wonderful!', but DD usually gives in. She hasn't been around in a while because I think her parents are annoyed with me, but that's a whole nother story. I hate to say it, but she is not missed around here (I think even DD has realized that she's just not much fun)

DS has a friend like that. I really feel sorry for the kid because he really needs some attention. But he picks on my 4 yr old DD and he lies a lot.

Wait 'til that kid is 20 years old and totals your son's car, says he'll pay the deductible on it, but never does. (He works, and should be able to pay!)

My oldest DS has a friend who is a twin (11 y.o.), so when he comes over to play it's a "two for one deal".

The problem is that the other twin is really obnoxious. He'll walk in and tell everyone to be quiet because he has a headache (happened a few times). I tell him that if he isn't feeling well, he should go home. Then he tells me to give him Tylenol, I told him to call his mom so that I can speak with her. He says, "No, give me Tylenol". He finally calls his mother on the phone and she tells me that he tends to exaggerate, but to give him Tylenol.

Anyway, he talks back quite a bit (whenever he doesn't get his way) and both of them don't want DS#2 (7 y.o.) around. I told them that if they want to come over to play, they have to accept the fact that DS has younger siblings. I allow oldest DS to do things with the twins that don't include younger DS, but I won't allow them to alienate my younger DS when they come over to visit/play.

One time, I had to send them home because of the talking back and disrespecting me & also DH. Their mom (we get along) came back with them later. I then told her what had happened and initially she wasn't happy with them. The biggest problem is that they like to lie and are quite good at it. One said that I misunderstood what he had said and the other said that he didn't do anything. I told them again what I knew was the truth. After this, one admitted it and the other one continued to deny it. The scary thing is that they were really convincing!!! One was told to apologize and the other one wasn't, as the mother wasn't convinced that he did what I said he did.

I couldn go on, but I won't.... They are basically good kids, so I keep reminding myself that no one is perfect. Otherwise, DS won't have any friends.
