Ugh...note to self, always always always book SWA fares one way....separately! that way when the fares drop,it can be changed to save $$$! I was booking multiple trips last week, and got lazy with one of them...booked R/T tix instead of 2 one ways...(sigh) of course one of the flights dropped a LOT the next day,and other leg went way UP.
that's my fault, but will try to remember this next time!

You can still change it. When you go into "change reservation" you click on which flight you want to switch.

I can? I thought I could only change both,b/c they're R/T....

It certainly won't hurt to try. But I will tell you that one time, many years ago, it would NOT let me change one way without changing both ways.
So I, like you, try to always book the one way flights. I think in very rare occasions, SWA offers some discounted fares that are only good for RT travel. If you book one of these, then you must change both legs - even if the change means re'selecting the same flight you're on - which might now be at a higher price.
Good Luck!

Let us know how it works out!

I change flights all the time. You can select which leg you want to change and leave the other leg alone. You will get your credit to use for future flights.

Just did the same today for a lower fare. No problem whatsoever to change one leg of the roundtrip flight online.

Just check the box next to the flight you want to change if you only one to change one segment of a R/T ticket.

I have done it MANY times.

oh man!!! how could I NOT know this one detail of SWA?:confused3 I lost my chance anyway as flights both ways are now UP good to know for future though...

Keep an eye on them. Even though I'm unlikely to find better prices/flights, I keep checking my early August dates out of curiosity.

They are ALL higher now, across the whole day. It wouldn't surprise me if they came back down on Monday, or Tuesday...or later. All the 8/13 (Tuesday) MCO-PHL flights are now at $167 - they had all been $120 last week. So I know they're not higher because the lowest price seats have all been sold.

Good luck!
