UGH! Reservations help!

Well, I see something new has been added, and I am not holding out hope that the SMSM rate will be back for our dates in October. Hmmmphh.

If a discount doesn't come back, we may change our plans (I paid full price over New Year's, no problem. But no way for October.) Kicking myself for not booking while the rate was out.

I got to looking at emails from our last trip in 2008 and we booked a December trip for SMSM at $259 in March. In October I got the AAA $226 and 2 weeks out from our trip I found APH for $144 so upgraded our pass. All this was before HP of course but I am still gonna hold out hope for a rate drop or for the AP rate to come out so we can add a couple of days (still not wanting to book 8 days which is how many we need for the SMSM rate to show back up on our dates). Don't give up :)

i got excited and went to that link thinking a new promo!

nope, that is the same one that was out in late november and all thru december 2011 that i booked with.

but, the coupon book was not on my ressie.
now i'll have to call and see if it is the same booklet as last year.
if it is, i'll take a pass on that.
it wasn't worth it for me.

modie, it's too late for you to back out of your trip.

I am just frustrated that by the time we decided on our exact dates, the SMSM rate was gone. I see on Kayak that I can get 25% off our reservation, but we must pay the whole 5 nights in full. I am trying to decide if I should just bite the bullet or call the hotel tomorrow or wait for the APH rate. The Kayak rate is a lot more than what we paid for the same weekend last year... UGH (as this thread is so aptly titled).

Thanks for offering up our couch to us! Very hospitable!

All the onsite hotels have crummy rates. I am just kicking myself right now for not booking when the rates were out.

i'd give you the bed and i take the couch but i don't want to hear ......................snoring, wait, snoring is okay:eek:

That is what's called sod's law! I just bit the bullet yesterday and booked thorugh Hotelopia. The downside was that I had to pay in full at time of booking, however the upside is that, based on current exchange rates ($ to £), I actually paid £50 ($75) less than the booking would cost me had I booked dierect through Loews.

Hope everyone else manages to get their bookings made/amended now and get some great rates :thumbsup2

Thank the sweet Lord for small little favors!

I have been working midnights, and checked as of 2am this morning and still it was just the seasonal rate.

Thanks to the DIS, I now have a rate I can at least live with over HHN. :hippie:

Side note .... Since Loews changed over to You First, I've pretty much been boycotting RPR and PBH and just staying at HRH. I hadn't looked at my You First level in ages, assuming my platinum status had dropped all the way to blue. Interestingly, I got credit for my last 4 HRH stays w/in the year, and I'm still gold. Although the benefits (upgade, free internet, etc) didn't apply, I did get credit for my stays. Not to hijack the thread, sorry.

you should sign up for the All Access program that HRC has.
i have had it for years and it's a good thing if you stay at HRH.

I love the All Access card (have had it since 2003!), but the only things it ever got me at HRH were free pins and a late check-out, lol!
