ugh...Credit Card expired and trip is next week!

I was so proud of myself for not using one credit card, saving it for use next week on vacation.
Imagine my surprise when I went to pay a parking ticket on-line today and realized.....it expired in December!!!!!

Two questions: Do you think I could get a replacement card from Capital One by next Thursday (I most likely mis-placed the one they sent me); and Is it possible to still use the expired card if I swipe it? The numbers are the same, just the expiration date is different.

I think yes capital one will send a card to you fed ex very quickly. No you can't use the expired one. It won't work with out a valid expiration date.

Call them immediately. They will very likely overnight it especially if you tell them you want to use it on vacation. Also, while you're at it, inform them of where you're going and the dates so they don't mistake your usage for fraud.

Just call the issuer, you'll probably be able to get a new one overnighted to you.

Update: Capital One is really super!!! My new card was issued and sent out yesterday. As of 8:30 a.m. today (less than 24 hours later) it is out for delivery to me! Phew!
