UGH! Alone during a power outage!!

So my power just went off and stayed off for around 45 minutes. And where was I when the power went off you ask? OF COURSE I was in the bathtub! And of course my minimaglite was nowhere to be found...I did find my cell phone and called my boyfriend, but it really does stink to not be able to find your clothes in the dark when you're in an apartment by yourself! Here's hoping it stays on! Gives me the willies!!

you too? We were lighting candles all over the place. I kept hitting the light switch whenever I went into my room. Old habits die hard I guess.

I played speed with one of the girls and on the second game the power came back on.

How odd! My DBF didn't lose power in Fayetteville, but I wonder if it was a state thing...is it storming there? We haven't had more than a sprinkle since I got back in town...

HAHA I'm an idiot, I didn't even read who replied....What side of campus are you on? I'm off campus, but fairly close to the soccer fields...I panicked bigtime though...

I was waiting for it to rain all weekend. Pollen covered the entire townhouse complex yellow. No sign of rain though.

oh, I'm off campus too. Out near Cary. Wow. Musta been a widespread outage.

Maybe so...I'm at least a mile from Hardee's, maybe farther than that...Dang big one.

It only flickered a few times-I left the candles burning until right before I went to sleep, I wasn't going to be in the dark again!

I can't keep candles around the house (my ds wants to be a firestarter ). We keep a Coleman lantern handy though.

How far are you from Fayetteville? I have 2 nieces that live in Fayetteville.

It's right around an hour from there. My DBF went to hs there, although he's been out since 2000. I try to visit frequently to see his family, but it's not exactly a fun place to visit if you know what I mean...But his dad works at the base (civilian) and I've been on a few really nice tours of the base and the 82nd Airbourne museum is fantastic!
