I thought that a larger children's size, like a size 6, was equivalent to a women's adult size - a 7 or something.

Am I crazy or correct in in my thinking?

I don't know what you're sizing, but I've found that in t-shirts a childs Extra Large is about the same size as an Adult Extra Small.

If you're talking about dresses or something like that, I think the size number is roughly equivilant to age. So a childs size 6 would fit a 6 year old. I know that in boys pants a boys size 18 is like 2 sizes smaller than a mens 30.

My best guess would be a girls size 18 dress would be about a women's size 2 (maybe).

:cutie:

are you talking about shoes?

Once the girl has gone from toddler sizes into girls sizes....those are womens sizes. So a size 5 in girls is the same as a womens 5, same with a 6...etc.

Most womens shoes don't start until 6, but some places have 5s.

Sorry......yes, I mean Ugg boots.

Actually a girls size once they get past 13 so a 1-5 not a llittle girls size -before 13 is about 1 1/2 to 2 sizes bigger in an adults

so 1-13 little girls

1-5 big girls and add 2 sizes to get a women's so a big girls 2 equals about a 4 in womens.

a 3 is about a 5

I sadly know this very well because I have very small feet and the shoe stores don't want to carry 5's anymore let alone 4's so I buy a lot of girls shoes.

so once it gets over the 13 into big gilrs add 2 sizes to get the womens.

Girls usually only go up to 4's

There is usually a 1 1/2 size difference between girls/boys shoes and women's shoes. I wear a 5 in women's and a 3 1/2 in kids. I have found that the kids sizes are wider than the women's sizes. (I have a short, wide foot).

HTH.

I believe it is a kid size 6 is an adult size 8. I bought my 13 year old daughter kids 6, and they fit her (typically an 8) perfectly. It's a smart idea because the kid's are cheaper!

A child size 6 is equivalent to a woman's size 8 in UGGs.

I just got Uggs. I normally wear a 5, but got a 6 1/2. If that helps.

I normally wear a women's five and as a previous poster mentioned it is very difficult to find that size. I wear a child's 3 a lot which is the same as the women's five.

I purchased my DD a kids 3 as we wear the same size right now. The fit her perfect. UGGS are supposed to fit very snug as they do stretch.

I wear a ladies size 5.5 and my Ugg cozy slippers are a girls size 3.

I find that Uggs run a little big for me.

My Ugg boots are a ladies size 5. I tried to get a kids' size but I think the shoe store was on to my money-saving ways and claimed they didn't have any girl size 3s in stock. He told me so quickly without checking that I was a little skeptical!;):confused3

Not quite. There should be no difference let alone 2 size difference.

Sizes

Childrens go from 2 to 13 1/2 then it starts over again with a 1 going up some chilrens manufactures go to a 6 other stop at a 3 but the size just keeps going. A older childs 6 is the same as an adult size 6. Where you are see the diffence is each manufacturer may run their sizes big or small, but the actual scale is not different. Sorry but I have to dispute this. I wear a women's 5 and it is absolutely the same as a children's 3. Even the lady at the UGG store told me that. A child's size 4 is way too large for me. It is not normal to see a child's size over a 4.

At most shoe stores when I ask for a 5 they take me to the kids shoes and say a 3 is the same.

yep, ITA. my DD wears a child's size 3 and it the exact precise same size as women's shoes in a size 5.

Yes. I bought a converse girl's size 6 because I liked the color and pattern better than the adult ones - I usually wear an 8 or 8.5 in women's.

I wear kids Merrell's and the kid 4.5 fits my women's size 6 feet perfectly!
