I was able to snag a 10:20 a.m. ADR for CRT princess: princess: :flower:

I'm curious.. How many of these rides can we reasonably expect to ride before this ADR? (Assuming we arrive just prior to opening (9 a.m.) with next week's crowd level)

1. Dumbo
2. Winnie the Pooh
3. Peter Pan
4. Buzz Lightyear

And should we attempt to get a FP for Mickey's Philharmagic for after this ADR?

It's not a big deal, and we're going to go with the flow, but I'm just trying to figure out what we should even attempt before such an early ADR.

Thanks :sunny:

Assuming you're there at rope drop, you can do all of those, and maybe Small World, too. I assume since you're doing Dumbo, you have small children. One idea would be to do those rides, then "hang out" at the opening of Toon Town at about 9:45...Weather permitting, they bring 6 or 7 characters to the area in front of Toon Town before Toon Town opens, so it's a great - and usually uncrowded - place for character autographs.

Agree with Missypie that you could get all four done and get to your ressies.
Definitely do Dumbo first and make sure you are at the castle for rope drop at 9 sharp.

I am a complete and utter FP planning addict and will be glad to help. How many people (and ages) will be in your party? Also, are there any of those rides that any of them are not interested in?

1. Dumbo
2. Winnie the Pooh
3. Peter Pan
4. Buzz Lightyear

You didn't say if it was an EMH day or not. If it is an EMH early morning day, then their will already be a considerable line for Dumbo by 9 am. Dumbo's a bit overrated, IMHO.
You have about an hour to get to all four, plus getting back to CRT by 10:05 (you're supposed to arrive 15 minutes before your scheduled time). It also depends a lot on how quickly you are able to move.
If it isn't an EMH day, I'd say you could/should do Dumbo first (no fastpass, lines form quickly), then probably hit Pooh and Peter Pan within that time frame, if you are fairly quick. It also depends whether you have to retreive a stroller after each ride, and how quickly you're able to do that (Does the stroller rider have to be strapped in/out each time?) I think doing all four might be a bit optimistic. However, you could certainly send someone to fastpass Buzz, so that you could go there after your breakfast is over. The rest of your choices are all fairly close together.
Also, they will want your whole party to be at CRT before they will let you in, I think. So send your runner out for FP's.

Doing all assumes that you arrive at the park at least :45 minutes before it opens, so you can get in, and down main street towards the front of the pack. Sometimes they open a little early if things are full on main street.

Note that means arriving at the entrance 45 minutes early, not leaving your hotel :45 minutes before opening. :rotfl2:

You will really need to hustle to Dumbo, as the line fills REALLY fast.

Hopefully the late opening means another park has early entry that day. If so, that should keep the am crowds in check.

We love watching the park open anyway. Great fun and anticipation with lots of happy people.

Personally with some planning you can do it. I'd head straight to dumbo (if you have extra adult that is my DH he goes for the FP for Pooh). After Dumbo head to Peter Pan and Snow White. Then Pooh and IASW if time allow. DH or I would go to Buzz for FP while other checks in at castle. After breakfast we'd head back to Buzz etc. Have fun and with a little huscle you can do all you want to.

The comment about EMH at Magic Kingdom made me think - if the park hours state 9am opening....does it actually open at 8am on the early days? And if so, would we need to be there 1/2 hour or so before that? Just trying to figure out the best way to get the rides in :-) Thanks for the help - we'll be there as early as we need to in order to get the Dumbo ride in without a day long wait

What day are you going, and where are you staying? I agree on doing Dumbo first, then Peter Pan. The line builds for Peter Pan faster than for Winnie the Pooh usually.

Thanks for all of your thoughtful replies.

We are a "party of 3," dh, dd2, and myself, at the Swan. And dd has been talking about Dumbo since our last trip when she was 15 months old. ;)

And I have to be honest. This part scares me:

Note that means arriving at the entrance 45 minutes early, not leaving your hotel :45 minutes before opening. :rotfl2:

My dd2 is still sleeping now, so she's not an early riser. I'm "planning" on waking her up and leaving the hotel by 8 a.m. Hopefully that hour will mean something, even if we only get there 15 mins to opening. I'm just happy we also have our arrival day (the day before) to attempt some rides at MK in the p.m. Planning out day 2 commando style will (hopefully) help us ride her favorites the fastest way possible, maybe for the second time.

Any additional imput, or laughing at this plan is welcome :)

I'm just curious, how do you get in to the park before it opens? Especially 45 min earlier?

(Wondering if you have left yet....)

Not an expert, just a wanna-be, but
since you asked.....

Assuming that your 9AM Magic Kingdom opening
is *not* an EMH morning, I bet you can
easily do four attractions before 10:05AM.
(Is that right, you have to be there 15 minutes before?)
However, I'm not so sure about these particular four.

(Note: if you arrive at 9AM when Magic Kingdom
opened for EMH at 8AM, all the following
bets are off!)

Actually, it's an interesting problem, trying
to figure out theoretically if you can do it.

I say, the problem is: when would
you do Buzz Lightyear?

If you do Dumbo, Peter Pan, and Pooh first,
then you have to walk back to Buzz, then walk
back to the castle for your CRT.

Just the walking from Pooh to Buzz and then
back to CRT will eat up time--prime touring
time that could be used for maybe 3 more
Fantasyland attractions, if you even have
enough time for that walk. And if you don't
have time for 2 or 3 more Fantasyland
attractions, then you certainly wouldn't
have time for the walk to Buzz and back.

I wouldn't even send the fastest person
to get Buzz FastPasses, because with my luck,
the return time would be for the exact hour
I would be eating CRT. Then the time
walking there and back would be a complete
waste.

Finally, if you do Dumbo, Pan, Pooh, and
then Buzz, what happens if you get down
to Buzz and find out it's taking longer
than you thought! Skip the CRT???!!!

I personally wouldn't risk that. Plus,
I'm all for being a commando when getting
up, getting ready, getting to the park early,
and racing to the first attraction. But after
that, I'm done running.

OK, so.....what if you do Buzz first.
Here you would be gambling that Dumbo
would still have a decently short line
around 9:20. For some people (maybe me!),
that would be worth the risk. BUT your
DD2 has been talking about Dumbo for
the last year! Not a good bet in that
case.

My busy-body advice is go for the sure thing.
Do Buzz Lightyear another time. (What about
that night before?)

Do 1. Dumbo, 2. Peter Pan, 3. Pooh. Then spend
the rest of your time enjoying Fantasyland.
It will be relaxing *and* commando at the
same time!! Want to try to win a prize?
Try to get six attractions in before 10.
Repeats count!

Any interest at all in Mad Tea Party?
Casually stroll over by it after Pooh and
see if DD2 will let you skip it.
If not, good thing you have time to do it now.
Good motion sickness news: you can definitely
wrestle control of the center wheel from DD2,
and keep the cups from spinning!
Ten years from now, there will be
no way you can do this with a DD13!

What about Cinderella's Golden Carrousel?
(Hint: When you left Dumbo and tried to
go to Peter Pan, did DD2 insist on the
Carrousel instead?)

The thing is, just like Dumbo, those
teacups and that Carrousel are out there
in plain sight for DD2 to see.
They aren't like those attractions hidden
in buildings...when she sees these,
she may insist on riding!

If you're really lucky with short lines
(and my money says you *will* be lucky
with short lines), you may be ready
by 9:40 for It's A Small World (20 minutes
includes the line, the ride, and the potential
boat-getting-stuck delay).

If you're extremely lucky, Ariel's Grotto
will open earlier than scheduled (it happened
to us!). Check it out periodically: send
yourself or DH quickly to run over and see
if it is open.

Here's another good bet: DD2 will ask
to ride something again and again!

I almost forgot: now there's the 100-acre wood,
or Pooh's Playful Playground, or whatever it's called.

Maybe you could "finish off" Fantasyland completely
before the CRT, except for PhilharMagic. Then
you will have accomplished a "commando morning,"
and you will have thoroughly enjoyed it too!

The surest bet of all: no matter what you decide,
you will have a great time!!!
