Uber vs Vans?

We're staying at the Port Orleans. I have a tendency to get motion sick. DH has a tendency to get anxious in crowds. (We're going late January hoping crowds will be moderate but not excessive.)

Should we just stick to the plan to use the Disney transport system?

Will uber save us a great deal if time and/or headaches?

Feel free to clarify (example, you can say "Yes, use uber for AK but not HS")

I'm not "recommending" using uber at all, but if you prefer it to the buses...

"Yes, use uber for AK, Epcot, HS but not MK."

For most trips around WDW property, the Minnie Van is going to be more expensive than an Uber (our Uber XL rides from All Stars to BWI and from BWI to Pop cost between $8-$11, the Minnie Van is a flat $20 no matter where you go. However Uber does have surge pricing, which may make certain times of the day like post-fireworks at MK, more expensive than normal.

I'd say Minnie Van might be a better option for MK since they apparently pick up and drop off at a bus stop near the entrance to MK, whereas Uber will leave yo either at the contemporary or TTC.

I might be more of a time-of-day person on your situation.

The buses, and monorails tend to be packed like sardines much of the time -- and for your added enjoyment, you'll have screaming kids belonging to parents who are coming up on their monthly shower surrounding you. They will definitely be packed most times of the day, and you'll have to wait in long lines to get packed into them at park closing hours.

At MK, HS, Epcot, and Disney Springs, a boat might be a better alternative for your DH and they really don't move around enough, or in a manner, that should cause any motion sickness.

Uber, Lyft, taxi, or Minnie Van -- it will just be your family, and it will be a car ride. Those options will cost more, but if they mean an enjoyable trip instead of a nightmare, the cost is well worth it.

I would try the free transportation to see how it works and then decide.
