Uber to AK

I am considering Uber to AK. I believe Uber drops near the front of the park. Do Uber’s have a separate “entrance/line” to the park? Do they let Uber in to drop off before they open the parking lines? I can’t imagine Uber drivers waiting in the parking line for drop offs. Thanks for any info.

We have done this several times. There is not a separate line for Uber, they must enter where all cars enter. This can be awkward if you are trying to RD and arrive before they are letting cars in as you’d be stuck sitting in the line, eating up your driver’s time. For that reason we try to time it so we get there as close to gate open as possible, and we have had great success. After they let you in, the other cars will park but you get dropped off at the ride-share/taxi area which is close up to the temp screening.

The GPS of the drivers we have had take us outside the usual route that you may be used to for bus/driving and past some restaurants/gift shops and down a winding road. To clarify, pre-booking a ride is useless. All it does it atomically request a ride the next morning. It’s not like an actual reservation.
