Uber Questions...

We've never used Uber before; I've only had a cell phone since Nov. 2025. Once I download the app... how does this work? Is it easy/intuitive to use? About how much does it cost from MCO to Disney resorts (arriving at 8pm on a Sunday, need to head to MCO by 7:15am on a Wednesday)? Will they do a grocery stop... and do we have any guesses as to how much this could add on? I usually use the Mears bus but there are two of us; if the cost of Uber is similar, it sure would be faster/easier than doing Mears.

While you can add stops to an Uber trip, I think the best would be to book a trip from MCO to your grocery store. Do your shopping and then book a trip from the grocery store to your resort. You will get a different driver.

If you add a stop, you will feel rushed while shopping as the driver will want the stop to be 5-10 minutes max.

I would expect it to cost $60-$80 + tip.

You can ' practice ' to see how system works and see the cost. Pretend as if you were traveling today/tomorrow you would really book but get confidence.

If the prices seem high when you request your ride, power off and power on your phone. They say it clears your history on the app, and you may get a better price. I have tried it in the past and it has worked to get a lower price. Make sure you have the correct address you are going to in your app. Doing a pratice or pretend request will get it in your history.

If you are coming in on Southwest, Uber pickups are on level 2 by baggage carousel 14, right outside the door. Do not order your Uber until you have your luggage and are outside. Sometimes you get lucky and they are only 2 minutes away. Make sure the car you are getting into has the correct license number from your app. It can get busy in the pickup area.

Mears does take longer, but you know what the price is. With current gas prices and surge pricing you take your chances with Uber.
