U 2 hot to trot, or walk, or ride rides or...?

Aw D that is truly the love of the Lord you are seeing believe me I can be as much of a brat as anyone and then just have to reel myself in mostly with a LOT of pray & support of everyone else You almost made me cry when you acknowledged it though :)

Yes you do have to get over that...guessing you are a people pleaser too (ok that word looks so wrong but it is 1 am LOL) Believe me I understand not being able to do what you used to even though I know this all is temporary I can empathize with what you are going through Honestly I have had a lot of trouble sleeping this week, it has rained about 5 days straight and that gets me down & also is causing some pain Also been pretty nostalgic today with the Kentucky Derby always always brings the missing of "the brothers" my Dad & Uncle Joey BIG horse racing fans Anyway its a new day & it will be glorious okay ? :flower3: now go to bed LOL

LOL, yes I am a people pleaser. ;) I am sure YOU do understand. I am s l o w l y getting over worring about what others think. I'm sure it has something to do with having an invisible disease (which btw, I learned that term from the disability boards here. It helped so much to have a term for it).
I am sorry your heart is aching for your loved ones. I can relate to that as well. DS who is graduating next w/e has asked for a belonging of everyone he has lost since he started his JR. year. I think we all get nostalgic at times.
I obviously went to bed before I even read your post. I hope your sleeping habits improve.

OK - I just want to say that both of you are so inspirational to me... Both of you have overcome so much, and if I could handle life as well as the two of you do - I would consider myself successful.

What is more important than anything, as a human being, is the care - love - and compassion you have for others. Your character, above anything else, is what I love about both of you. :grouphug:

That is all.

D~

D~ that is so nice of you to say. I don't think I am inspirational. I think of it as surviving & trusting things happen for a reason. But thank you.
On a side bar to this ..... yesterday at church our priest was talking about peace & love. He got a little emotional as he told a story of his late mentally challenged brother. He said how they would visit their dying mother and after his younger brother (an adult), would say the older brothers full name, such as "John Smith, I wuv you" . Our priest paused to gather his emotion, then said "how I would love to hear that again". Then went on to talk about how important it is to HEAR we are loved. So, at the end of mass when we shook the priests hand & he asked DD how she was she replied with, "good." he said "very nice", then she said with a huge smile, "I love you". He replied "you do?". she confirmed. He shook her hand and said , "you know what? I love you too".
Thank you for saying you love me. Love back to you as well.

Hope everyone has a wonderful love filled Sunday.

I love you all.

Peace & Love,
Dee

Oh boy we certainly need tissues around here....cleansing though

I love when a priest or minister shows the human side of their lives and once again your DD what a jewel About wanting "stuff" that people had in this life boy I have a boxful and its also because my Dad knew I was the touchy feely emotional one in the family that I have the things I do

A saint I ain't though and I still grieve over something I did out of the kindness of my heart actually sometimes I get down right PO'd  As the oldest I gave one of the younger Dsis my Dad's ring with a horse shoe on it a year later find out she had it changed into a necklace no longer a ring.(didn't like the setting)..yeah yeah I know a gift yada yada I could have killed her ( okay maybe just smacked her hard) and once again human I was kinda thrilled :rolleyes1 when it was then lost to her (a long story not impt) Silly right ?

This priest shows his human side openly. He is the priest that helped me when I was considering converting to Catholicism. I had ALOT of questions, and he honestly and openly listened to me & explained how he felt, but in the end he would say to me...let the Holy spirit guide.
no not silly....human.

Okay, so on with the trip....

I am very excited today. It seems things are coming together.

So, DS#1 finally committed. Well... actually DH & I forced him to make a decision. So, I put the figures together for him, and he agreed he can afford what it will actually cost him for the trip. So, I went ahead & booked his flight for him.

So, these are how the flights will work:

DD#1, DDBF, & DS#2 will fly out of Boston morning- Jetblue
DH, me & DD#2 (the birthday girl) will fly out of Providence - Jetblue at 3pm ish
DD#1 will fly out of Providence - Southwest at 2pm ish

So, the new "reveal" plan is:

DD#1, DDBF & DS#2 will be driven into the airport by DH very early in the morning before DD#2 wakes up. She will have celebrated her birthday the weekend before, and will be told they are doing a day trip somewhere & will be home for dinner, cake & icecream.
DS#1 will be recruited to be going out to lunch with us. At which time we will ask DD where she would like to eat for her bday lunch. When she says a restaurant in Disney (which she almost always does. Hopefully this time it will be BoG), we will say...okay. And ask DS#1 to drive us. Which he will of course and then he will tell her he will see her when we get home & he will give her her bday present then. Leading her to beleive we will be home either that night or the next day. He will drop us off. (apprx. 3 hours early). Then he will park the car in long term parking & catch his flight.
When we get to WDW DD, DH & I will (hopefully) rent a car. The other "kids" will already be at the resort via ME.
Depending on the time, DD, DH & I will either check into the hotel, or head right over to our BoG ressies. The older "kids" hopefully will already be there, and seated. Then when we get led to our seats, the kids will say surprise!

Now for the if's ands buts...... If you remember our ADR is for 5. I called ans asked about adding 1 more & was told, since the tables are in even #'s adding 1 shouldn't be an issue. BUT, NOW we have to add 2. I'm not sure what I am going to do about this. Just show up & pray they will let us all sit together. Or make a ressie else where. I really really really hate to give up this ressie. The only reason I made it was, DS#1 said he wasn't planning on eating with us. But, now he really really wants to. So, this I will have to think about.

As for the resorts:

DH, DDs, & myself, are still staying the AKV the first 3 nights in a studio.

I had made ressies for POFQ for the 2 adult boys. Now, that isn't such a great fit with the 3rd adult male. So, I researched. And researched. And crunched numbers, and researched. With a lot of help from dissers, I finally changed their resort to Coronado Springs. It is the best fit in the moderate range for 3 beds.

I am a little sad DS#1 has decided he is only staying 2 nights. Just long enough to be there for the surprises. To me it seems like a lot of money and travel time to stay on 2 nights. He says it is because he doesn't want to miss work. But, I know he thinks he is in love. blah, blah, blah (oh, a little too cynical?).

I haven't started on any goodie bag stuff yet. I am too wrapped up in DS#2's graduation. Which is this Saturday. He had said he did NOT want a party. So, we told him we would take him out to a formal dinner. Well, he also does not want that. So, I gave him the speech of how proud we are & he should be of his accomplishment. I told him we want to celebrate this, he can chose a party, or a nice dinner. He chose a party. SO>>>>>> now I have to put together a party. Thankfully, all our friends & family would be perfectly happy with a cookout style. So, that will most likely be what it is.
Here's what I found funny. I told him to write up a list of who he would want invited. He said, just the regular people that usually come to stuff we have. I thought, then said..."basically me & Dad's friends & their kids"? He hesitated, then said... "yeah, I guess SO.". hahaha We will include my brothers & their families, and DS's 2 aunts & families on DH's side, and of course the 1 grandparent DS has left, then some close friends that have watched him grow since he was born. Honestly, I am secretly pleased. He has conquered many obstacles without missing a beat & he deserves to be applauded. It will embarrass him a little, but he'll get over it & be the center of attention he should be. :flower3:

Now, DD#2.... a carbon copy of her older brother that is graduating this w/e. Well, her nose is a bit out of joint. She has expressed disappointment (and by that I mean a melt down) that she is not getting any attention for graduating elementary school. :confused3 Apparently, because the school is making a big deal of it, she expects a party too. :crazy2: Of course during this melt down other issues came up (which I figured there was a background issue of what was REALLY bothering her). We talked those issues out, and she is fine. Ironically, one of the issues was that when her brother put on his cap & gown to show us, she got choked up (just like mommy) and her brother accused her of faking it. Her feelings were truly hurt that he didn't believe her, and that he doesn't realize "how proud she is to be his little sister.". :goodvibes
So, DH & I are :scratchin as what to do for her. I think I might let her invite a couple of friends over & make them icecream sundaes the last day of school.
During her melt down, she mentioned that not only is she not getting recognized for "graduating 4th grade", but for her big 10th bday, her big sister will be graduating, so she will get no attention then either. When she said this, my head was yelling "NO DO NOT TELL HER!! DO NOT TELL HER! DO NOT EVACUATE PLAN!!" I didn't tell. But boy, my heart was breaking for her. Which opened a whole new can of worms. Oh, my gosh, we are going to have to recognize DD's graduation too..... IN AUGUST! ... will she want a party? dinner? yikes!

Well, off to resolve, then hopefully laundry.

Have a wonderful Wednesday everyone!

You sure do have a lot going on right now! Good luck getting everything together for the party on such a short time frame!

Your trip plans sound wonderful, and the reveal is going to be great!

Whew! You certainly have a very busy schedule!!! Poor DD#2.

I think a cookout sounds like a great graduation party!

I do hope it all works out so that DD#2 can be surprised at BOG with everyone!

Whew my head is spinning and so PROUD of you for not letting the cat out of the bag to DD little one :goodvibes that most have been breaking your heart

For BOG I would just show up did you let them (the restaurant) know its a surprise BD celebration ? If you need anything (a birthday cake picked up balloons whatever) I would be thrilled to help arrange on this end since I live so close it would be easy peasy

Wow Dee... My head is spinning for sure!

So happy to see all the plans laid out so perfectly... I am super excited to hear all about this after it happens - it is going to be EPIC!!!

I think the cook out is a great idea - we love doing cook outs!

And great job holding it together - I have wrecked a lot of surprises in this exact same way. My girls hate surprises - really hate them - Alli will go into tears if she is not told something... Grrr... Don't know how that happened. I am better off not telling them that there is a surprise at all - which never happens either, because I can't keep my mouth shut. LOL So, I am very proud of you!

D~

just jumping on quick. I will respond to everyone later. But for now, I was just reminded....

105 days!!!!

Thanks. We've scheduled the party for memorial day w/e. Too many people couldn't make it before that. I am very excited for DS

busy, yeah. I thought it got easier when they were older. haha. I called Disney today, during one of those many calls I asked about adding DS to some of the ADR but I will cover that at the end of the responses

Oh my gosh, it was breaking my heart. I just kept telling myself it will be worth it in the long run. AND she has to learn to deal with NOT being the center of attention ALL the time. but my heart for sure was breaking.
I spoke with a great CM today & addressed adding DS to some ADR's. More on that at the end of this post. Thank you so much for the offer. And, I just may take you up on it. I ordered 2 graduation Mickey hats, but we may need 1 more now that DD#2 wants to be included as a graduate. And, balloons does sound rather nice. Maybe to have waiting at the resort when we check in? Do you think that would be possible?

Epic? Oh my Gosh... you have no idea. I may have to pm you.
I think a cook out is great. Relaxed no pressure. This son is very funny. We threw a surprise 16th bday party for the 3 of them. This DS went directly up to his room and styaed there for 2 hours!!! He ended up having more fun than anyone, but he gets embarrassed at surprises.

Thanks for the kudos for keeping the secret. I actually shed one or two tears with her.
so, today I logged on to get what I thought would be a better deal on Coronado Springs reservation price. But, as it turns out... the AAA price I had it booked at was about $46. better! So, I just left that alone. Without getting into too much detail, I had to make other resort reservations, well I offered to, I didn't HAVE to. So, I got them the best rate, in the 1st choice resort, with the view they wanted. I had called at 7:52am. I hung up at 9:44am, after....never speaking to a person!!! I ended up while I was on hold booking the reservations myself. Only problem is, I couldn't seem to get past a particular part of the information, because it kept wanting to put me as a guest. When I finally got that straightened out, with the help of online chat. I logged back on had the same problem, had to contact online chat again, who gave me the direct link for the promotional rate reservations, which resolved that issue, but then on another part wanted to cancel my reservation to modify it to this reservation, even though this one didn't have my name on it. My patience was tested today. So, short story long (hehe) when speaking with online chat again, he convinced me that the original reservation did not go through. So, i booked it again. Well, guess what????? yup ended up with an extra reservation! AND, because, well, I'm me.... I gave the wrong last name on the primary guest. :rotfl2: There are 2 different last name on the reservation. I listed the primary as the wrong name. :sad2: :confused3 oops. So, this afternoon I called and had them fix that. In addition to all that, I called DVC to see about modifying a couple ADR's to include DS#1. We were able to get Chef Mickeys, no problem. Actually better IMO. I'm not sure my adult children will agree. I moved it from 7:30 to 7:10am. hehe We WILL be making rope drop. :cool1: That is the good news. Now the bad news... I'm sure you have all figured it out by now.... BoG. This cm tried so hard. I explained to him all of what is going on. He advised me to call every day. And if all else fails to arrive at BoG as early as possible. to explain to them exactly what I had explained to him. He said it does "pull at the heart strings". And maybe Beast will be in an accommodating mood. He was probably the best cm I have ever spoken to on the phone. His name was Liam. After we got the Chef Mickeys modified I said, "I have a feeling the next one isn't going to be as easy." He replied, "Be Our Guest?" I confirmed. He said, "yes, Beast is not good about people not showing up for dinner. Or for too many showing up". I thought that was such a cute reference to the movie. He did give me an alternative. Cinderellas Castle. I had already thought about it. I asked if I could make both, and cancel the one I decide I don't want. He tried 2 different ways, but ultimately said no the system wouldn't let him. :sad2: So, DH & I are going to discuss it tonight.
I have more to talk about regarding DS graduation & party, but I will save that as it really doesn't apply to our trip. Maybe a side note after the graduation. Maybe even a picture of my graduate. :goodvibes

No I do not think it will be possible ;) I KNOW it is you give me an idea of what you want when & where and then cross it off your list and consider it done :wizard:

For the graduation Mickey hat for DD # 2 though you will need to order where you ordered the other 2, that will be a tough get for me

Kudos to Liam (think I have spoken to him before) and here's hoping the Beast opens some more ADRs

Oh that would have been so cool! I wish my husband would get sent to Orlando for something work related. Since he is a manager/beer manager for a liquor store.....maybe for the food & wine? :lmao:

Well, you can check it out & let me know how it is. Will you be able to bring the family? You know, since you already have the AP's.....

Yep I hope to bring the family along with me! Since we have AP's it will be a cheap and fun way to spend a few days although they will mostly get parks and I'll mostly get conference.

A free trip to Food and Wine would be awesome!! :thumbsup2
