Typhoon Lagoon

My DH did this last year. It's kind of like floating with the sharks rather than swimming. The water is incredibly cold and you have to keep on moving. They have life vests and all the other equipment you need. DH did it twice, more enjoyable the second time as the first he was so stinkin cold!

I'm from Florida and don't like cold water.

Its not that bad popcorn::

Its 100 yards long and 50 yards wide, 10 feet deep and doesn't look like a swimming pool. Ship wreck and rocks makes it look like a very nice natural body of water.

They let 10 people at a time swim/float threw and its lots of fun.

No extra charge and they have snorkel gear there for you to use.

One of my favorite attractions

C-O-L-D

Yes indeedy. It was so funny. I waited my turn.
I put on my flippers and mask (it was a long time ago, can't remember exactly what I put on)
I hit the water and I was like a motor boat! Swam to the other side! I got out of that water so fast!!:rotfl2:
Sharks? Didn't see any. Everything was just a blurr:lmao:

You posted on the Disney Dining Plan Board ...... are you thinking that the sharks or you are on the menu ;)

Everyone above is describing Shark Reef.....which is included in price and a quick fun experience. It is best in am before it gets crowded and all the swimmers stir up the sediment in the water.

I believe there are some "dives" that are an additional fee at TL and EPCOT, but never investigated them.
