We will be in WDW in a few days. Our scheduled day to TL is next Wednesday, the 10th - however I see that the weather is predicted for a high of 75. I thought I heard somewhere that the water at the water parks is heated, is that true? If so, has anyone gone during a colder part of the year and still 'enjoyed' themselves? Was it cold once you got out of the water?

Yes, the water parks are heated. I am not sure how it will be when you get out of the water. It depends on the weather and how cool the air will be. I am sure that you will have tons of fun though!

Anjelica, the big question is "Where are you from?" DH and I are from the deep south and really don't like swimming if it is below 80 or so. How can they sufficiently heat such huge bodies of water? However, if you are from the north you may think it is just fine. People up here where shorts and run around with bare feet as soon as it hits about 50 in the spring, I would be sick if I did that. We were in WDW end of last March. It was cool, great for walking around. We did swim a couple of times but the kids got blue and were shivering after a little while. It really depends on how tough you are, it will be cold when you get out IMO.

laceemouse - from the St. Louis area (15 minutes outside in Illinois). So we don't get too cold around here but definetly alot colder than you folks down south. Guess I will have to see if that makes a difference or not but I definetly see how it depends on how tough you are (which I don't think I will be - I am a whuss). But maybe with 75 degree weather and sitting out in the sun it won't make a whole lot of difference....thanks again for the info.

Hello~!

We just returned from our trip and went to Typhoon Lagoon on Saturday.

We had a blast!!

The water everywhere was heated and felt great. Except for the Shark Reef. The water is 70 degrees and salt water. However, even if it's cold out, I would still do the Shark Reef. We loved it and went 7 times.

;) :D ,
Katie
