My wife and I are getting ready for a July trip to WDW. We have been to Typhoon Lagoon before, but never to Blizzard Beach. We are not "slide"-type people, but we do like lazy rivers. I know both parks have one. We also like wave pools. Would you recommend we go to TL again? or give BB a try?

Thanks in advance for your help!

DH and I have been to both, but much prefer TL. The ambience is tropical and the grounds are much more lush and inviting than BB. We tried both water parks on a trip when we had UPH tickets and did not have to worry about wasting a plus feature. For our next trip in May, we have purchased 5 day PHP tickets and will be using one plus for TL (and the other for PI).

I agree with ncbyrne about the landscaping feeling more tropical at TL. Last week at BB there were some new tubes with a solid bottom that made floating in CrossCountry Creek very enjoyable. I don't know if TL will have those after the rehab. I do enjoy Teamboat Springs (longest family raft ride) at BB, and for pre-teens the Ski Patrol training area is great.

When the trip is just for DH and I we choose TL. The wave pool there is much better than BB.

People can have some varying opinions about the water parks, so I hope you get a lot of replies.

It sounds like you are definately a TL type. The BB is definately more of a "thrilling" day than the TL. I enjoy them both, but for relaxation you can't beat TL. The scenery, tone, pace etc are more laid back. I also think the kids area in TL is far superior if you have non swimmers (or at least not-yet swimmers ;) )

I'd encourage you to try both at some point.

I'll agree with the earlier posters for the most part. TL has a more tropical theme to it...BB can be very hot(lots of concrete and little shade)! The slides are definetaly tamer at TL and the park a little more leisurely in general...The catch-22 is: The wave pool at BB is much tamer than the wave pool at TL even though overall TL is the tamer of the two parks....The shark reef is pretty cool at TL as well, but, the water is coooold!!
