We we taking DD for the first time to DW in October. She is just turing 8 but is quite small - just 44 inches and 40 pounds. WHat water park do you recommend?

Husband and I love all water rides but we want a place where she can do most of the activities. She is a decent swimmer - just small.

Any other advice is welcome!
Thanks!!!

Both parks are fun but Blizzard Beach has more intense slides while Typhoon Lagoon has a great wave pool. Typhoon Lagoon is IMO a prettier park too with more shade but then Blizzard Beach is very popular.

I don't think that you can go wrong with either one. It really depends on your own personal taste but I personally prefer Typhoon Lagoon.

We prefer Typhoon Lagoon also but I don't think you could go wrong with either. Plenty for kids to do at both.

Blizzard Beach is our favorite. Our kids are around that age and they feel there is more for them to do there. That said, I have more fun there too, but like the atmosphere at TL better. I feel like I am on an island when I am at TL!

We don't have kids, but we like BB better for the slides. They seem to be much smoother. I think TL is beautiful and has Shark Reef. Both parks have a great lazy river.

Never been to Typhoon Lagoon, but honestly never had a desire because we love Blizzard Beach so much. We're going again in two weeks and our kids (now 14, 10 and 6), don't want it any other way. (I think your daughter would love walking on those "ice-bergs!")
Everyone agrees BB has the more intense slides and rides for "daredevils"....but it also has a terrific kiddie area and plenty of "in-between" attractions as well.
But I agree with everyone else, you will not go wrong with either park. Both are absolutely beautiful...TL also has extra attraction of snorkeling with fish!
Have fun...your daughter is in for a great time either way!!

As others have said, you can't go wrong with either one. That said, with an 8 year old I'd probably head over to BB. They have the wonderful Ski Patrol Training Camp for 'tweens', the excellent tube slides, and, of course, the lazy river.

If you decide to go to TL, they have an incredible wave pool that will keep you all entertained for hours, a luxurious lazy river, and such a lush, tropical feel. It may depend on what's open while you're there, but you'll have a great time at either.
