Typhoon Lagoon solo - not allowed to ride Miss Adventure Falls?

I’ve read it’s maybe the best ride there, but being penalized for being a solo traveler doesn’t seem right? On similar rides I’ve done in the past, they usually put you with a group that hasn’t filled the tube. Any idea if they do that now? Thanks !

We usually go as a group of 2 and we are always paired with another family to balance the tube - I would assume that would be the case for a solo rider.

I went to Typhoon Lagoon in March and saw solo travelers being put into tubes with parties of 2 or 3. I was in a party of 2 and we had our own tube but I'd imagine if there was a solo person they would be with us.

Also I recommend riding this slide first thing if you can as it was the longest wait out of any of the slides (30-40 minutes all day).

Thanks! I’ll find out in a few minutes …it’s Disney, I’m thinking positive !

I’m here now at just past 11 - will do! ! Thanks!

It's definitely not the best ride in the park. Not by a long shot.

You will be put in a tube with others. Don't worry. Have fun!

I was, but not by the CM. I had to stand awkwardly by and hope that someone would volunteer - which they did. I can’t say I’m thrilled - I could have been standing around forever. It’s awkward to try and ask total strangers, if I can join them - esp. if they have kids. You have to be kind of aggressive to do this

I did love the ride - do wish I’d gotten more wet.

I don’t know about now - near 2pm- but earlier around 11:30, there were no waits on either Miss A or the Crusher Gusher ride. Speaking of, I loved it, but I don’t think I can do it again - that raft is heavy; I nearly gave myself a heart attack trying to get it up those stairs. The second time, someone helped me, and I was still out of breath.

TL wave pool is awesome - but holy smokes, they aren’t fooling around. I learned after 2 x to remove my glasses. Also, I think I swallowed a gallon of water, lol

What do you think is the best ride?

That’s so awkward. It would be easier if CM did the loading groups sort like they do single rider in the parks. In pre Covid times, I rode it solo, but next time I was put in a group. I hate the awkward tube dismount in 3 inches of water- wasn’t a graceful exit.

It is, but the last two times I did ask before we got up to the CM, so it wasn’t that bad. I love that ride - the body slide one was great, but I think I prefer raft rides. This was intense, and a bit jerky jerky.

The lazy River is phenomenal ! I normally do not like them because they are boring, but TL Lazy River was gorgeous, and interesting !

I am heading down this Sunday for a week, looking forward to going to Typhoon Lagoon. I only had Blizzard Beach open on my post Covid trips.

That is weird that the lifeguard didn't just group the riders. We were a party of 3 and they put a party of 2 in with us, and no one had to do anything to make that happen. They had the group of 2 standing to the side, waiting for a party of 2-3 to show up, and that was us.

And it was 2 CM, too - not just one. One rather sniffily said that I’d have to find people willing yo let me on with them. Frankly, the people were much nicer than the CM. Not that the CM were rude, but they were strictly by the book, and making me wait to the side was annoying

Oh, I guess your situation was different - they put 2 with your 3 to make things efficient. Maybe they were annoyed that I was one…but honestly, why should solo travelers be treated like that? I get why they don’t allow one, but then just make it easy

Man, that sucks. Like, they can't be bothered or something. Super disappointing. We have a small local waterpark staffed with high school aged lifeguards and there are 4 raft rides. They work hard to group riders, as the minimum is 3 per raft, and up to 6. They are constantly calling down the line for parties of various sizes and grouping riders. It's not hard.

No, it’s not….now, maybe they’ve been told to be very strict, but asking for volunteers is easy, and doesn’t put the onus on the rider….I know I can’t have been the only solo faced with this

I faced a similar situation on our Fantasy cruise. It was windy the entire cruise so even on port days the Aquaduck required 2 riders I tried to ride multiple times but only ended up riding once when my daughter rode with me. I had hoped they might pair single riders up but you had to find someone to ride with before entering the queue.

I tried to ride it as a solo a couple weeks ago, because there was nothing on the sign specifying that solos weren’t allowed (unlike on the other multi-person raft ride) and didn’t find out until I got all the way to the top that they don’t facilitate grouping solos with other small parties and that I’d need to find some people on my own (spoiler: no one was willing to adopt me for the length of the ride, so I had to push my way through all the people in line to get down)

Why would I think that it wouldn’t be handled by CMs like literally every other ride at Disney??

DW doesn't do water parks, so I did TL solo a few weeks ago. I ran into the same problem with Miss Adventure Falls. On my previous trip when I went to BB, the CMs paired me with another group on its raft ride.

Also, I randomly picked one line for Crush & Gusher, and near the top, it has a sign with pictures showing the different seating positions when it is 1 or 2 passengers, but they would only allow 2. They told me that there was one other line for C&G where a solo could ride, and they moved me to there.

oh that really sucks...I was lucky that one man, who was also a solo, volunteered, and that two other pairs were kind enough to let me join. It shouldn’t be that way...but maybe it is because it’s different? People are in their bathing suits, it’s more “intimate” than other rides

I would write Disney, sounds like some stupid Covid hangover like rule. If they can shove solo riders into HM close enough to feel multiple people around them in the stretching room they can place them in a raft.

😡 I’d write Disney about that as well. Absolutely ridiculous.
