Typhoon Lagoon or Blizzard Beach?

During our visit:
  • Blizzard Beach did have a direct bus to All-Stars (can't comment on others)

Only the All Stars and Coronado have direct bus service to BB. Everyone else has to take a bus to AK and transfer there.

  • Blizzard Beach didn't have a bus to Disney Springs and for most locations guests had to bus to Animal Kingdom and then transfer. Animal Kingdom transfers worked well expected.
  • The only busses to/from Typhoon Lagoon were to Disney Springs
Standard procedure.

  • Bus transfers at Disney Springs are painful. It seems to be painful by design hoping that you spend more time/money there, but it's so painful, I am dissuaded from going to Disney Springs unless I drive.

It took us less than a 5 minute walk to get from our TL bus to a Poly bus at Disney Springs on Wednesday afternoon, and the Poly/GF station was pretty much at the end of the depot. Unless you’re trying to get to a theme park or BB from there it literally could not be simpler.

Our transit time from Boardwalk=>Disney Springs=>Typhoon Lagoon was ~45 minutes and Typhoon Lagoon=>Disney Springs=>Boardwalk was over an hour. (it's an 8 minute drive, walking would have been faster)

It took us less than 10 minutes taking a Lyft from BWI to TL. As we’ve all said numerous times on these threads, the fastest way to the water parks or to get from resort to resort is always going to be a rideshare. But buses do constantly show up to TL, like every 10 minutes if not sooner. We were going to take a Lyft to the Poly from there (we used our free ticket on the day we moved resorts from BWI) but one came in like 2 minutes of us getting outside and the transportation CM said they come constantly.

Yes, it could be much simpler.

Why make people walk from the bus dropoff into Springs then turn around 180 and walk back to the bus depot? Boardwalk is on the other side, so that also makes the walk longer.

Agree, Rideshare can be a good investment.

Is there shampoo or showel gel in the bathroom at waterparks ?. I used to take the little bottles in my hotel room but It's not possible anymore.

Thanks

I haven't been to BB since 2007 as it is usually closed when we visit. We've done TL 3 times in recent years and are excited to see BB again.

Anyone have any suggestions where to sit for a little shade? We will be driving in directly to BB and I may catch a nap while my DDs (21&19) hit some slides.
Where do people like to eat at BB?
Thank you for any help!

I've never been to either and was trying to decide which when we have about 5 hours from hotel arrival to closing to use our free water park tickets. Most of us prefer a lazy river and wave pool to big slides, so I was leaning toward TL, but a direct bus from All Star Sports might make BB the best choice.

Also thanks for towel info. I would have assumed towel rental was always free, like local water parks, Great Wolf, etc.
