Typhoon Lagoon or Blizzard Beach?

If you are more interested in water slides, BB is your place. BUT, if body surfing is your thing, TL is the place to be. TL offers 2 great slides, Misadventure Falls (a group raft ride) and Crush’n’Gusher, while the rest are just OK. My 2 grandsons would happily spend an entire vacation in the TL wave pool. They leave the water to feed only when the bobbing waves are on and then it is back to the surf. DD prefers the tropical theming, so that works out well. We get snow at home and she doesn’t want to see it in FL, except for the pretty flurries at MVMCP!

Is there any difference between the two in regards to how good they are for little kids? I know BB has from Frozen theming but other then that, are they pretty similar for little kid activities? Taking 4 and 5 year old girls.

Going to be taking advantage of the free water park offer this summer. We've never done either. It's my wife, 19-year-old twins, and me. We like both exciting thrill rides and relaxing lazy rivers.
If you are getting into town early enough,do both!

That's our plan,plane lands at 9:00.

We are going to start at TL and then close down BB.

You would get to experience both Water Parks, more bang for your free buck!lol

We preferred TL when DS was that age, and BB when he was a bit older.

We go in little less than 2 weeks and only TL is offered on my planning page..... Because I was wondering which was better too!

TL has more ocean like wave pool, water coaster sort like the Aquaduck/mouse on Disney cruise. BB probably has faster body slides, more covered area w loungers . The wave pools are similar with a cave w a waterfall.

Do you know if cast members will combine groups for the family raft rides? We are a party of 2, so I think they would have to combine us to get enough weight on the raft. (I have split from my large group to help a small party at other parks, but the CMs weren’t super proactive at that park.)

Definitely on the big family raft ride, you will need more people. Might be able to get away with 2 on Miss Adventure. The CM aren’t really that proactive either. It would be nice if they had a separate small party line that could use to fill like they do in the park w single rider.

In my experience for Miss Adventure Falls they put others in your raft if you’re a party of 2. It actually kind of sucks/is awkward at load if you’re around others where the counts don’t line up. And the rafts are sort of smallish so can be tight quarters. Love the ride but I don’t love this part of it, personally.

Pretty sure we’ve ridden Teamboat Springs with just two when lines are low, but they do like to put more when lines are longer. These rafts are bigger than Miss Adventure Falls and more conducive to strangers being together, in my humble opinion.

Sharing a raft with strangers makes sharing a Skyliner Gondola seem tame in comparison!lol
