Hi everyone. We are staying at POP in August, not renting a car. So, on last day of our trip, we will be taking ME back to MCO for 5pm flight home.

Do you think it is feasible to go to TL that day? Will they let us in early if we are resort guests? (though if checkout is only 11 am, then technically, I guess we would have to have checked out before we go?). Their hours start at 9:30, so would resort guests be able to go at 8:30? So if we get there early, do you think leaving by 1pm would give us enough time to get back to POP, change and catch ME? Would that be 'long enough' at TL?

I was originally going to go on the second full day of our trip, but thinking about it further, it will not really be a 'rest' day... staying out in the sun will sap the kids' energy, and they may be tired on the third day. We will be in theme parks all other days (7 night trip). Thinking I should use that day to do nothing but swim in hotel pool, nap, and maybe go to Fort Wilderness.

p.s. day in question is 8/23 (a Wednesday).

:thanks:

You can check out of your room early in the morning and have them keep your luggage for you. Then head to TL. We went to AK EMH on our last day and had no problem getting in with our Resort Key, even though we had already checked out.

We generally go to the waterparks when they first open (usually 1 hour early for resort guests). Then we stay until around 1-2pm when it starts getting hot & crowded. There are usually very small or non-existent lines in the first couple of hours.

There are lots of shady areas in TL, so it's not like standing in the baking sun all day long. The Lazy River is very shaded and you can find chairs to sit in the shade. Just remember what is shady in the morning is usually sunny in the afternoon.

Waterparks are not nearly as tiring as theme parks in my opinion. I plan waterpark days between theme park days just so we can get a little rest and more relaxation. Of course it's not as relaxing as just hanging by the pool, but I bet your kids will love it!

I think your plan is feasible...but bring zip lock bags to pack your wet bathing suits in.
