Typhoon Lagoon & Boma
After a late start for us we went off to Typhoon lagoon where we all enjoyed the family raft rides and the lazy creek river. I had some trouble getting on the inner tube which meant that I got soaked straightaway and gave everyone a laugh as apparently my look of surprise as I just went completely over and then under it was comical. We went on various of the chutes according to how brave we were. We had managed to find some beds in a shady area and rested for awhile before heading back to FW again just as the weather was changing.

After a rest Andrew wanted to have a go on the mouse boats at FW. They went in one and Tony and I in another. For some reason theirs went much faster! Andrew was enjoying having control of the wheel and this was one of his wishes granted.

That evening we headed off to the Boma restaurant which had to be the culinary highlight of our week at WDW. We are planning a safari holiday in one of the African countries next year for just the two of us and this restaurant along with Animal Kingdom re-inforced the plans for us. Smells of spices and roasting meat made our mouths water as we walked along looking at the choices. I tried very small portions of things to start with and there were not many that were disliked. The food was well laid out and very fresh-looking, the mauled over effect that some buffets (if this could be called a buffet) can have was not apparent at all. The desserts were delicious too.

We looked around the grounds of the Animal Lodge after dinner and saw the animals grazing in front of the hotel rooms.

We decided to head back to EPCOT to see the pavillions. We managed to ride on El Rio del Tiempo and then the rain started. Despite the rain which didn't stop we visited some of the pavillions and saw ILLUMINATIONS again under a tree.

We loved Boma's too and had a great meal there - the AKL is pretty awesome isnt it?

Another great report - thank you :)

Thanks for the fab report - luv reading them!!!
