Just wondering about which water park if i were going with my 5 yr old DD and 1 yr old DS and leaving DH at home. I am interested more in the fun fountains or whatever for the 1 yr old to keep him busy. Thanks for any input you may have.   That is what I should look like after this trip!!!

I would suggest Typhoon Lagoon if for no other reason than the shade. Blizzard Beach's tot area is in direct sunlight whereas Typhoon Lagoon's play area is fairly shaded (as is the lazy river). The other benefit is that the wave pool has a nice runoff area with shallow water (warm!) where the little ones can play while you relax on a beach chair.

We just went to Typhoon lagoon in June and it was great for my 2 year old. 10 and 8 year old loved it too. We were going to go to blizzard beach but they closed because it was full so when we were at TL I was talking to other parents and they said they have been to both and TL has a better section for toddlers. So I guess we got luck BB closed.
Have fun!

Typhoon Lagoon has an awesome wave pool -- although I had to get out, couldn't take that wall of people hitting me! And loved swimming with the sharks.

Other slides we enjoy BB.

For smaller kid I would think TL would be less overwhelming and easier to manage. I've never tried them but they have some kind of wonderful donut snack.
