I'm just curious - never been to BB or TL. Are there long lines to ride the "rides/slides" at these places?

I don't mind waiting a few minutes for my turn, but are we talking 30-60min waits for some things, like at the main parks?

If so, is it for a lot of things, or just a few big attractions?

Are the parks too busy for a relaxing change of pace from touring the big parks?

Well, I think a lot of it will depend on what time of year you are going. We went to TL in May and there was a few minute wait for most things (about 5 - 10 min). We didn't ride the really big slides but did more family friendly things and were quite pleased that there weren't long lines. (Except at the ice cream stand ... DH stood in line for a long time to get DS a 'garbage pail' ice cream sundae .... but it was worth it to see DS gobble that down so happily!)

Well, hopefully this will be helpful. We always hit both waterparks, and due to our daughters age, it's always in June or August (never July..) but I never have more than a 5 min wait at Typhoon Lagoon for any ride. Blizzard Beach is usually a short wait except for Teamboat Springs, Slush Gusher, and Summit Plummet. Summit Plummet can reach 60+ min. waits, easily..

Again, hope that helps..

I was at both this year--BB just last month and the waits CAn get long. In early May, waits for TL Snorkel thing were 45 minutes +, BB in August had waits of 30-45 at a few slides. Bigger issue (for us) was lack of inner tubes once the park got crowded. To float in the rider or bob in the wave pool, you may have to wait 20 minutes or more for a person to abandon their tube, and then pounce on it like an eager kitten before someone else does.

Depends when you go, as well as the weather. Is it a day when we are running at 10% of capacity or a day when we are at or above 90% of capacity?

We've gone to TL during sunny warm days in November and February. Typically the lines for the slides would become too long for our tastes (20 to 30 minutes for a one to two minute slide) would form by Noon.

We just got back from Blizzard Beach yesterday and most of the lines were between 30 - 60 min. waits. Although, I don't think any actually took that long. We stayed all day and after 4pm the lines really shortened up.

:scared: We will be visiting WDW this sept/oct. We have yet to visit a water park on any of our trips. We were really looking forward to Typhoon Lagoon until I saw the posts about long waits for rides/slides. Any chance they will be better when we go (9/26 - 10/2)? If she has to stand in line for water slides I think she may prefer to stay at the resort pool w/ minimal waiting. We plan to be there when they open hoping that helps w/ wait times.:hippie:
