Type of train passes I should buy?

I am trying to determine what would be the best train pass to purchase for the 3 of us (adult and 2 sixteen year olds).

I am not sure I am allowed to buy the Carte Orange....some sites say you must be French to purchase.

I am not sure the Mobilus includes Metro AND RER.

Paris Visite for 2 days would work...the cost would be 29.90 Euro for 2 days each.....the discount to museums and monuments would be minimal as my girls are mostly free to most places....

I do not know how many tickets I would need if I were to purchase the booklet (carnet?)

Can someone help me to understand this?

I need a pass for two (2) days, from DLP to Paris and back plus probably one extra stop during each of those days (from one monument to another). Day one is DEFINITELY a Thursday as I have booked the Segway tour for us and the 2nd the Friday....so 2 consecutive days....

Less than 4 weeks!!!

When we visited Paris we only wanted a ticket there and back as we walked everywhere.

I'm by no means an expert on the different tickets but I'd suggest a Mobilis would be the best ticket for you as this will allow for your travel into Paris and can be used on the RER, Metro and buses once you're there.

We had Paris Visite Zone 1- 3 tickets on our trip last month. We had to buy a separate ticket to get to DLP because it is farther out, but since we were only going to DLP once it wasn't practical for us to get the Zone 1-6 ticket.

We also bought L'Opentour bus tickets that travel between many popular tourist sites. I like the audio information it provided between stops.

And we walked between places as well, but with all the walking we did in museums it was nice to have the Visite and L'Opentour tickets as well.
