Type of seats @ Polynesian Luau

For some reason, I picture sitting at the Luau at long tables on benches with no backs. Is this the case? I don't think that would be very comfortable and I really don't know how I came to have that image in my head.

Would someone kindly tell me if they have regular chairs at the Luau or not. TIA

if i remember correctly, the luau had chairs, not benches... maybe different tables had different things, but we were near the front (in 2001) and it was definitely chairs... hope that helps!

Thanks so much for the quick reply, gigi. I will go by what you say unless someone else contradicts it. It really wouldn't make sense for Disney to have people sitting that long of a time frame on benches with no backs. Again, I don't know how I came up with the image but thanks for getting it out of my head.

Gonna book the luau now definitely.

they were chairs with backs, and they were comfortable enough for the show and dinner, altogether with the show and dinner you sit in the chairs over two hours...
