Two Weeks until Two Weeks! - Update 3/22 - NEW TR LINK!

We LOVE to eat our way around the world; however, I just LOVE  School Bread!!! You are going to have SUCH a wonderful trip!!! I will be drooling....

Happy birthday to your DD in two weeks! :yay:

Joe really loves that school bread too. I've had it, and like it, but it's a tad too sweet for me. I drool over savory stuff instead! It works out well though, we share a bit from the two items we get! :thumbsup2

So excited to use the VIP entrance from the Beach Club in October!!

We saw all of the movies last time, and of the two on your list, I preferred Canada. Circle of Life was cool, but VERY loud. I want to try at least one Kim Possible mission on our upcoming trip, as I've heard they're really cool. And after reading Glenn's TR, we might have to stop in Innoventions to try out the video game thing!

One of my favorite things in World Showcase was to walk around, stopping at each country to meet whatever characters were out. We met Mulan, Snow White, Jasmine, Belle, Aurora, Mary Poppins, and Alice. We also enjoyed the performances from the Dragon Legend Acrobats (so sad they left!)and the British Invasion. We hope to see Mo'Rockin and Off Kilter this time.

We only saw part of their show this last time, so it's a priority to see the whole thing this time around!

Definitely making time to stop and watch this!

 I could watch this every night and not get sick of it. Seriously. I've been listening to the soundtrack at least once a week for almost 3 years and it never gets old.

That pretzle looks AMAZING right now. Also excited to try the caramel shop.

YUM.

Picture inserted! :goodvibes

This is calling to me. Don't worry, shortcake, only 7 months and 20 days until I can eat you myself!

I like Mission: Space. The green (non-spinning) side, at least. (I get motion sickness when I spin). I'm hoping to convince Mom to go on it with me!

I forgot about Kim Possible! We have never done that either! That is going on the list! Thank you for the reminder. :thumbsup2 Thanks for some of the shows too - I think we've caught bits of MoRockin' and British Invasion, but never more than part of a song.

Henry has gotten more and more into the characters, so if they have short-ish lines we will be stopping for some meet and greets around the World too. I love how they have various characters out in the countries. It's an extra little perk to the WS! :goodvibes

We only watched part of Illuminations last trip, I miss it! It's a must this time. It's such a great show!!

The pretzels in Germany ARE amazing! They are much better than any other ordinary pretzel!!! And they are HUGE!

Thanks for the pic of Kaki Gori. YUMMMMMM.

The shortcake is soooo good. We've gotten it several times, it never disappoints.

I haven't rode the green side yet. I will do that when Henry gets tall enough (I wonder what the height limit is....hmmmm). The orange side was way too much for me. I can handle most any ride, but that was  :sad2: Never again!

I think I might know what you are talking about if it's what I saw in my Mickey Monitor today...;)

Why yes, yes it is. :goodvibes I haven't gotten my MM yet. :confused3 I got the last issue though. I didn't get it at ALL last time I had an AP. At least it's online, but it's fun to see it too!

My mom ordered one of these and I tried it, I was surprised at how good it was!

Brook, you've got lots of fun stuff on your Epcot list. You're going to love the F&GF!!

I think Henry will really enjoy the Waste Management thing in Innoventions. There is the Piggy Bank Challenge too if you haven't done that :thumbsup2

I may have to try those gummy candies from Japan, I  gummies!

I googled the EE thing, I wanna be there!

Henry is very into garbage trucks, and when he saw pics of the Waste Management exhibit he was wide-eyed! It should be fun.

We did do the Piggy Bank one last trip, he had a lot of fun carrying the pig around and watching the little videos. It was cute.

:rotfl: Kim Possible was on your list, that's why I mentioned it!

I made an itinerary for WS based on the times guide, so we met almost all the characters when they first came out, so no wait. The exceptions were Mary Poppins and Alice.

For some reason, I think the height limit on Mission Space is 44", for either side, but I could be making that up. Can't wait to hear the EE news...

I love seeing retro Henry pictures. Seriously, he is just one of the cutest little boys. One of the big reasons I am FINALLY going to do FB. I don't want to miss a Henry picture!

:faint: Can it be true? MEK is joining the dark side? :worship:

Love you, Mary Ellen! :goodvibes I don't update my own account just use it to keep up with other more tech savvy folks!

Epcot and particularly Epcot WS. :cloud9:

I think H will enjoy the Kim Possible missions.

Definitely no shortage of yumminess and strongly endorse French bakery and Mexico CS.

I am counting on you as an early scout to Flower and Garden to report back on tips/tricks/must see's etc.!

SO excited for your trip!! :yay:

I think of the WS films, the Canadian one would hold the most interest for Henry....I'm making my DH see it this trip because I enjoyed it so much.

La Cantina was my BEST cs meal last trip. I had the chicken tacos and the nachos (not the same day) so YUM!

Many votes for the Canadian film! :thumbsup2 Sounds like a go to me.

I'm thrilled to hear that about La Cantina! :hyper: If we like it I have a feeling we'll be going more than once as well.

Your Epcot plans sound great! I am also so tempted by all of the goodies in the Japan pavilion, but never sure what to get.

The storm show in Innoventions...have you done it? I recall seeing a warning that it can be a little scary and reading another poster saying it was a tad intense for their son (Floridians like me). But maybe its not that bad and my Florida "I hate Hurricane's" mentality coming through :rolleyes1

My goal for this next trip is to see at least one WS film! I'm leaning towards Canada...

 :cool1:  for single digits!

I've seen some craZy stuff from the Japan store. :scared1: The gummies are safe.

We haven't done the storm show, but we planned to "baby swap" it. If there are things outside the actual exhibit about weather, we can do those with Henry while the other experiences it. Or, there are always oodles of things to explore, so I don't think we'll have a problem filling the time with him outside of Storm Struck. I have heard too it's pretty intense. Which makes me EXCITED. I LOVE severe weather. I'll show my geek and admit I used to be on the Storm Watch team (tornado chaser) in college. :rolleyes1

I'm thinking Canada is the winner. Lots of votes...and NONE for the others.

WOW!! Such fun EVERYTHING at EPCOT! All your snackoids seem so wonderfully tasty! I still say my favorite it the rice cream in Norway. mmmm, mmmm!

VoL- MUST DO!

I dunno, just everything looks so fun! You're going to have a great time there- how could you NOT??!

Oooh, the rice cream! Yes! I gotta mark that down. I've heard good things of that.

I know we will have a good time even if we are just there, wandering around. Just being there...:cloud9: I can't wait to see my first palm tree!

I think I probably missed an update, but I agree with everything on your Epcot list. I love both the China and the Canada movies. They are both great. The only drawback is you have to stand for them.

:thumbsup2:thumbsup2 for KP Missions. They are so fun! You will love them!

You know I love Voices of Liberty. They are fabulous.

I love seeing retro Henry pictures. Seriously, he is just one of the cutest little boys. One of the big reasons I am FINALLY going to do FB. I don't want to miss a Henry picture!

I'm excited to try the KP Missions! Henry will have fun holding the phone and watching the things that happen. It will be a whole new way to see the WS.

I'm looking forward to seeing the Voices of Liberty in their "regular" mode. We saw them during Christmas and it was amazing!

You are so sweet saying those things about my baby. :cutie:  Thank you! (and I tend to agree :rotfl:;))

sooo I'm home sick with stomach virus  and after all the talk of your last TR on here I decided to check it out...popcorn:: So much fun made me super excited for my trip and how cute is Henry! Thanks for making my day!

Ugh! No fun! So sorry to hear about being sick!!!! I hope you get better quickly! (and I hope all the food pictures didn't make it worse!)

I'm glad I made your day with my PTR! It's been fun to write!

Your Epcot plans look great! One word of caution about the Stormstruck exhibit...it's very loud in there! My DD7 didn't like that part of it but it is really a fun time in there. You get to make decisions about how to tornado-proof your home and then see how it plays out.

We really wanted to do the Waste Management too (ok I was the only one who did) but ended up doing the Sum of all Thrills 3 times instead!

The KP mission was awesome! We really enjoyed it and ended up doing 3 missions in a row which nearly made us late for our lunch ADR.

Want to know something funny? I've always loved Epcot, still do, but I now prefer Future World over World Showcase. For me, it seems more Disney-ish with all of the future decor and stuff.

Girl, single digits! Lucky!:goodvibes

And he's looking RIGHT at her giving her the thumbs up!

:rotfl: Kim Possible was on your list, that's why I mentioned it!

You know what's funny, after I thought I didn't have it, I went to my list and added it. Then read the list to myself. Ya...I almost went back and edited my comment to you, but you caught it already! :lmao:

Mommy brain!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

That's a GREAT idea to make your itinerary based on the Times Guide! I plan to view the Times Guide online before we leave, so I might be able to cook up something similar so we can be sure to catch a few things we are interested in.

I think you are right about MS - I remember looking last trip. Next year for Henry probably! (and I'm SO fine with that, it makes me nervous )

:faint: Can it be true? MEK is joining the dark side? :worship:

SO excited for your trip!! :yay:

SHE IS!!!! We have converted her!

NOW IT'S MICHELLE'S TURN!!!!
(just another hint for ya ;))

I have a whole future update on the F&GF. We plan to check out the HGTV stuff and some of the other "extras" they have. I'm SOOOOO excited about seeing it finally!!!! It's been my dream since I first learned about it on the ME back to MCO from our honeymoon. :yay:

I see you have a TR started! I just hopped over there. Will catch up after I post this comment.

Thanks for the hint on Storm Struck! Henry will be with the other parent during it, we are doing a "baby swap", but that is always good for us to know so we aren't taken by surprise on it! I'm looking forward to the exhibit since I love extreme weather and so does Joe. We are total nerds...:rolleyes1

We are also more fond of Future World. It's just so techy looking and feeling - we love the music, the rides and everything about it! Ah, the music. The fountain. We do enjoy the WS too though, it's fun to look through all the shops.

And eat. :teeth: (though, living in NYC has kinda ruined that too, MANY of things in the WS are available within blocks of my home. I see the various treats at our local grocery store. But, bonus - Disney food has no calories.)

Oh, we're a tad geeky over here too so you're in good company! We really enjoyed Storm Struck alot, my DD11 is a huge weather fan so this was so much for her in particular. But it is loud. I hope you get a chance to try it out. I have a feeling that they don't get too much traffic for that exhibit because they were thrilled when we said we wanted to do it! DH and I looked at each other and laughed!

What you said about Future World is exactly how I feel too! I love it all, the futuristic music, the metal decorations, all of it. DH likes them both equally but I really prefer FW.:thumbsup2

Caught up now. As far as Kali, maybe someone has mentioned this but I missed it. The height requirement is 38 inches, and from 38-42 inches there is an extra bar required. Now I noticed on our last time they had individual lapbelts now, maybe they don't have that bar anymore, not sure. My DS is 44 inches now, so don't have to worry about it. He kinda likes that ride. I'm sure Henry will like it, but if he doesn't like to get wet make sure he has a poncho. It's the getting wet that bothers my DS. Can't wait to hear about It's Tough to be a Bug, we still haven't tried that one. We did do Dinosaur last time. My DS said it was okay, but probably won't want to ride it again, which is fine with me. Just means more time for us to ride EE.

You guys are so much like us as far as Epcot. We always plan on doing so much more than we actually get done there. We have just barely explored the world showcase. We did do the Canada movie last time. My DS sat on the floor for most of the time, but he didn't complain about it. I'm hoping that we get more done this next trip, but since the Flower and Garden Festival will be going on, that just means so much more for us to look at oh no.

Now I am soooo hungry! All your Epcot plans sound great! :thumbsup2

Happy birthday to your DD in two weeks! :yay:
Thank you! :flower3:

Joe really loves that school bread too. I've had it, and like it, but it's a tad too sweet for me. I drool over savory stuff instead! It works out well though, we share a bit from the two items we get! :thumbsup2

We do the same, hubby likes savory and we split it with one of the children as well (Not sure I could eat an entire one by myself; however, I sure could try :rotfl2:...I think it helps that the young man who got me hooked on school bread was so dreamy...he worked in the bakery in Norway and was so kind and good-looking. (Yes, DH knows I thought he was a doll baby). :lmao: I tease him that I think of him every time I think of school bread. (I don't really but it IS funny) :rotfl:

Hi Brook! I am late to the party but better late than never :goodvibes

I think I am mostly caught up now. This report sure is moving fast! I am going to have to go back and finish up your last trip report -- my dad was in the hospital for a while before the holidays so I wasn't really keeping up on things here. He's better now so I am trying to catch up on everything!

You're going to have so much fun -- 2 weeks will hopefully give you plenty of time to do all the things you want! Your plans sound great! I love your updates on what you will be doing 2 weeks from now.

You definitely have to ride the Haunted Mansion this time! That's such a Disney classic.

I hope you get to see Flights of Wonder. It really is a great show and I think Henry will like it!

I love Voices of Liberty and always try to see them several times while I'm there. You have lots of other great plans for Epcot. I think you'll like the new Mexican counter service too -- I've eaten there several times and really liked the food -- the guacamole was great!

The picture you posted of Henry waiting for Test Track is absolutely adorable. I just love it! That's so great that he loves that ride -- that last turn gets me every time!

Looking forward to hearing more :thumbsup2

Brook, I totally forgot to comment on your EE plans - I meant to PM you about it when I saw it... So I am glad that you saw it! :goodvibes

Oh, I finally get the point, this is a good looking monkey! :thumbsup2

Even though (and I have no idea wether anyone will get this besides my sister), he also is a bit creepy, he looks like Mr Morden from Babylon 5! :scared1:

Flower and Garden also started yesterday, March 2, so we will be checking out those exhibits as well, but I'll keep that as a separate post here in the PTR...and seeking advice from any of you who have gone before! (I'm SO EXCITED to go to F&GF!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!)

1015182550_nLEq2-L.jpg

This is such a cute picture. I think the expressions on all three faces are adorable. :)
I am picturing Little Nemo thinking, "This is me when I grow up!"

I love Impressions de France. The music is just beautiful. But, if you are one bit sleepy, it can also calm you right into a good Disney 'nap in a chair', too. ;)

All of the food choices are good ones. It is hard to make a choice. That sweet almond pretzel is so big and so good! I haven't had a cloudberry horn yet. Jill is crazy about the strawberry cheesecake.

We will be opening the Flower & Garden Festival for you on the 2nd. I think it will be cool to see the opening ceremony. :cool1:

Fellow weather nerds! I wonder if we will be the only ones in the exhibit? That would be interesting...and maybe a little scary! We'll see.

Whenever I see a picture of the open areas of FW, there near the fountain, it instantly transports me. I am there, I can hear the music, see the palm trees...love it!

There is so much going on for the F&GF! Last night I went through the notes I had gathered on it to get them organized. So many extra things to see. I'm really looking forward to it! Have you ever gone to F&GF before?

Now I am soooo hungry! All your Epcot plans sound great! :thumbsup2

My stomach was growling the entire time I posted all those food pictures. So good!!!

Okay, after reading your PTR last night, it's LISA'S 8th birthday in 2 weeks (minus one day)? That is major!!! :yay::yay::yay::yay::yay: HAPPY HAPPY HAPPY BIRTHDAY SWEET LITTLE GIRL! (and a big 'ol  for you Momma!)

Whew - crud...crying...wipe tears, smile. :)

That's so funny about the guy in Norway! I'll have to scope them out. ;) I believe we had a very pretty woman last time. Joe might remember. LOL!

Hi Brook! I am late to the party but better late than never :goodvibes

I'm sorry to hear about your Dad! I am glad to hear he's alright!

Yes, I am moving FAST over here. Everyday when I update it forces me to get my notes organized on whatever I am posting on. Plus, I usually knock something off my To Do list, so updating is vital!

I'm so glad to hear that you think Henry will like Flights of Wonder. I was afraid he might get bored in it, but several people said they think he would enjoy! Plus, good guac at La Cantina??? I love guac! The little kiosk thing that was set up during the construction had awesome guac, so I was hoping that would transfer to the new CS!!!

And thank you on the picture! I really like that one too. Test Track is a BIG hit. He talks about the bumpy road, the brakes, the hot room, then the reallyreallyreallyREALLY fast lap!

Brook, I totally forgot to comment on your EE plans - I meant to PM you about it when I saw it... So I am glad that you saw it! :goodvibes

I saw that bit about EE over on "the other board". It would be great if the Yeti was working...but I doubt it. But, I still enjoy the ride without it, so no biggee to me!

Thanks for thinking of me when you saw the news too!

:rotfl: yes, Pat's monkey is pretty easy on the eyes! I'm going to try to get a few new pics for her should I be able to recognize him.

I haven't seen Babylon 5, but I might have to google that!

This is such a cute picture. I think the expressions on all three faces are adorable. :)

That's so funny about what Nemo is thinking!!! :rotfl2: That's one BIG fish!

That sweet almond pretzel is so wonderful, isn't it? Have you ever had the one with the chocolate on top? I have never been brave enough, in fear the chocolate will ruin the beautiful balance that already exists. ;)

Do they have a special opening for the F&GF? That will be neat to see! I'm thrilled to finally see all those flowers and exhibits.
