Two Weeks until Two Weeks! - Update 3/22 - NEW TR LINK!

SINGLE DIGIT DANCING BAAAAAAAAAABY!

I can't believe it!!

:yay::yay::yay:

AWESOME!!!! I feel like you just got back. Maybe it is because you just finished your TR? I donno. It would of been cool if you didn't tell anyone you were going on this trip until the last entry on your TR. :lmao::lmao::lmao:

Two Weeks from Today....March 3.

Crowd levels go up a bit today, but are still bearable. We don't have any solid plans, so we will probably just wake up when we wake up, and then most likely go to Epcot since it has the lowest predicted crowds.

Plus the lure of that VIP entrance from the Boardwalk is irresistible. ;)

So, let's take a look of everything we want to do in Epcot over the period of the entire trip...it's way too much for one day, or even two! :faint:

Flower and Garden also started yesterday, March 2, so we will be checking out those exhibits as well, but I'll keep that as a separate post here in the PTR...and seeking advice from any of you who have gone before! (I'm SO EXCITED to go to F&GF!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!)

Never Done's, most of these I really, really want to get done!:

 1. China film
 2. Canada film
 3. Norway film
 4. Circle of Life
 5. Sum of All Thrills
 6. Waste Management exhibit
 7. Kim Possible
 8. Storm Struck
 9. Video game thing (IBM exhibit in Innoventions West)
 10. Disney Visa Meet & Greet
There are a bunch of the entertainers we have never seen either, it would be a lot of fun to catch some of them. I think there are a few other things in Innoventions we haven't explored as well, so I'll be looking a bit closer to see what we've missed!

And here are some of the regulars and must do's!

Kidcot Stops. I explained to Henry they don't have the masks anymore but a bear instead and he does NOT like that. I'm sure it will be fine once he sees Duffy though!

1015179407_9USV8-L.jpg

Test Track! The number 2 requested ride by the little man.

759645253_qQdpt-O.jpg

I want to catch the Voices of Liberty again, we have only seen them once.

1015186715_eAovm-L.jpg

Oh ya!

1015197169_4YFGJ-L.jpg

Playtime in all the water features. And speaking of water features, watching the Fountain of the Nations for a while is a must!!!

As for other countries in the World Showcase, we want to see at least one of the films on our "never done" list above, and we'll meander around once or twice at least, popping into whatever we are feelin'. I want to spend some time in Japan and take a look at the pick-a-pearl display. I've been wanting to do this for many trips, but haven't looked much into it. Also necessary is stopping to look at the train in Germany. We skipped this last trip (no idea why?!) and I know Henry would just LOVE it!

Okay, now for the biggee.

FOOD IN EPCOT!!!!!!!! :worship:

I enjoy the World Showcase. I enjoy EATING around the World Showcase. :teeth: I don't think there is anyway I will be trying all of these, but I like to dream. ;)

Let's start with the new caramel shop in Germany. Oh yes.

In addition to the caramel shop in Germany, you can find these babies

759645106_kUi2j-O.jpg

Mmmmmmmmm! Joe is obsessed with the brats from Sommerfest, so I can see us stopping here for a small lunch/snack where I eat the pretzel and he gets a brat.

In Norway we find

1015207629_E3TTS-L.jpg

and

1015207679_FQnLG-L.jpg

(see Joe's hands holding back Henry's?! :rotfl:)

Also here is the Cloudberry Horn, which is tempting. I've had the sweet pretzel several times, so I might try something new, we'll see!

Moving onto France

1017253177_kZAfT-L.jpg

I want to eat at the CS. Cynthia has FULLY convinced me to get the ham sandwich and that glorious apple tart pictured above.

My stomach just growled thinking about it.

I've heard great things about the chocolate mousse from my last TR as well. Tell me, is it super chocolate-y, or light and fluffy? I'm not a big chocolate person, so it doesn't catch my eye, but if it's on the lighter side I might like it.

In Mexico we will be trying the new Counter Service La Catina de San Angel. Yum, yum, yum, we love Mexican food! :hyper:

I also want to try some of the gummy candy that Magdalene and Katharina picked up from Japan. I've always wanted to purchase some of the candies here, but since I haven't a clue what they are (didn't realize the ingredients were in English either!), I've always shied away. They bought about 48 boxes of the stuff, so it's gotta be at least a little good, right?

And if I'm craving something cold and sweet, the answer will be Kaki Gori.

(insert picture here....ya...I can't find it!)

Back in Future World only one thing sticks in my brain, every single trip.

1003828155_QbAVd-L.jpg

Drool. Strawberry shortcake from Sunshine Seasons.

I know there are oodles more amazing eats in the World Showcase. What are your favorites? How about attractions/rides? What shows in the World Showcase are your favorites? What am I missing? I just thought of Mission: Space. Joe will surely want to do that again while Henry and I explore the dump shop and activity center!

AWESOME!!!! I feel like you just got back. Maybe it is because you just finished your TR? I donno. It would of been cool if you didn't tell anyone you were going on this trip until the last entry on your TR. :lmao::lmao::lmao:

Ahhhhh, I see how it is.

We booked this trip so long ago (so it feels like it anyway), I couldn't keep it a secret!!!! :hyper:

Having trouble getting caught up on all of the banter, but I'm excited that your trip is getting close!

:banana::yay::dance3::yay::banana:

No worries! I'm cruisin' over here because it forces me to solidify our plans each day into my notes if I sit down and do a PTR update.

What is the bear they have at kidcot now? Is it just something to color and get a stamp on?

Your plans look great. DH & I always make a beeline for Soarin & my 2 DS's will probably head to Test Track. I like that also. We have done Mission Space but I can go without it. We get a kick out of Crush & I love the Nemo ride.

The Canada film is really good. I really enjoy it. There is some beautiful scenery & the music is great also.

Love eating around WS. Love the goodies in France, Kaki Gori, Choc. crepes, & I could go on & on & on.;)

My favorite nighttime show is Illuminations!!

Maybe we'll cross paths again today! We'll be at Epcot for at least the second half of the day. We may even see you getting one of these:

Referring back to AK....I would go with the Dawa Bar and the LOS too :thumbsup2 However, there is a nice selection of drinks inside the Yak & Yeti....I just told them I was going inside to the bar to fetch a drink and they let me right in. I don't remember what it was but it was goooooooooood!! :rotfl2:

Everything will be so pretty at F&G...especially due to the long, cold, snowy winter  It will be refreshing to see some happy, colorful flowers and soft green grass :)

At the patissiere I have had the ham and cheese crossiant. I don't recall the cheese but it was delicious...and the cute boy heated it up for me too ;) I have had the chocolate mousse too...come to think of it I have had a lot of items from those cases. :rotfl: I don't recall it being too chocolately.....just light, fluffy and yummy :thumbsup2

Of course most of my WS outings usually involve alcohol and food but I do want to try the pick-a-pearl too.. :upsidedow

:hyper::jumping1::hyper::jumping1::hyper:

Woo hoo for SINGLE DIGITS!!!!

Tracy

Love the Epcot food tour! I plan to do one myself!! That is if I don't eat myself stuffed in the caramel shop in Germany, I am so looking forward to that!! We are doing dinner in Germany too, my DH loved it when we went ther a few years back and it is one of my dad's most vivid memories from our family trip about 20 years ago! I think Aiden will get a kick out of dancing up front too.

So Test Track is ok for someone Henry's age?! I am so nervous about that, I am not a thrill ride person by any means and I thought it looked almost too fast for me. Might send DH on it and then he can decide if I can handle it and if Aiden can. Last time we measured him I think he was just under 41" but just because he is tall enough doesn't mean he is mature enough, ya know?

Oooh tell me more about the gummy candy in Japan, DH LOVES gummy candy.

Oh and a new personal fav, an avacado margarita at the Tequila bar in Mexico. Sounds yucky but it was fabulous!!

It's the Duffy Bear.

4113688285_a684c5a384_z.jpg

It's a coloring cardboard of him on the stick. I think the charms are gone, but you can still get the stick stamped.

There is also a Duffy Meet and Greet now. And you can buy him (and clothes for him) in many of the shops. There is a back story with him that Minnie bought him for Mickey when Mickey was going off on a trip. So the motto is something like "Where in the World will you take Duffy?" Kinda cute. The clothing is themed to the various World Showcase countries too.

Your plans look great. DH & I always make a beeline for Soarin & my 2 DS's will probably head to Test Track. I like that also. We have done Mission Space but I can go without it. We get a kick out of Crush & I love the Nemo ride.

My favorite nighttime show is Illuminations!!

Those are our big ones too, Nemo, Crush, Soarin' Test Track. :thumbsup2 It's so much fun now that Henry can ride with us on the big ones too!

I've heard great things about the Canada film. That one will be #1 choice!

Oooh, crepes. I will have to look into those!

Maybe we'll cross paths again today! We'll be at Epcot for at least the second half of the day. We may even see you getting one of these:

DisneyVirginis08199.jpg

Yes! I just read your PTR too. And thanks for the Kaki Gori pic!!

Sounds like fun. I wanna see the film in France when we go in Aug.

The film in France is beautiful!! And has seats. :thumbsup2

I am SO excited to see green and palm trees and FLOWERS! It's in the 50's here today, so almost all the snow is gone, but man. I need some sun and plant life!

I think the ham sandwich Cynthia spoke of was on a baguette - I wonder if its the same ham and cheese though? :confused3 I'm not a big cheese fan, but that one had swiss, which I can handle. And I'll have that cute boy heat mine up too. ;) Thanks for the info on the chocolate mousse! I might have to try it...or convince Joe to and snag a bite. :rolleyes1

I am looking forward to that caramel shop too! I have seen pics and drooled all over my keyboard on them! YUM! We almost booked Biergarten again. We loved it last time. Sooooo good. And so fun too!

Yep! Henry has rode Test Track a few times now - last trip was the first time. You have to be 40" and he was just barelyyyyyy. The last lap goes about 60 mph, and there are a couple corners. Joe and I put our arms criss cross style for an extra "seat belt" on Henry.

1121768999_gh688-M.jpg

He LOVES that last lap!

All I know about the gummy candy is that Magdalene and Katharina bought several boxes because they enjoyed it so much. Here is a link to the post wiht the pictures of them: http://www.disboards.com/showpost.php?p=39769491&postcount=1235 I'm a big fan of gummies too, so I'm looking forward to trying them!

Two Weeks from Today....March 3.
My daughter's 8th birthday...I LOVE Epcot, I wish we were going to be there then!

(see Joe's hands holding back Henry's?! :rotfl:)

We LOVE to eat our way around the world; however, I just LOVE  School Bread!!! You are going to have SUCH a wonderful trip!!! I will be drooling....

Plus the lure of that VIP entrance from the Boardwalk is irresistible. ;)

So excited to use the VIP entrance from the Beach Club in October!!

Never Done's, most of these I really, really want to get done!:

 1. China film
 2. Canada film
 3. Circle of Life
 4. Kim Possible
 5. Video game thing (IBM exhibit in Innoventions West)

We saw all of the movies last time, and of the two on your list, I preferred Canada. Circle of Life was cool, but VERY loud. I want to try at least one Kim Possible mission on our upcoming trip, as I've heard they're really cool. And after reading Glenn's TR, we might have to stop in Innoventions to try out the video game thing!

There are a bunch of the entertainers we have never seen either, it would be a lot of fun to catch some of them. I think there are a few other things in Innoventions we haven't explored as well, so I'll be looking a bit closer to see what we've missed

One of my favorite things in World Showcase was to walk around, stopping at each country to meet whatever characters were out. We met Mulan, Snow White, Jasmine, Belle, Aurora, Mary Poppins, and Alice. We also enjoyed the performances from the Dragon Legend Acrobats (so sad they left!)and the British Invasion. We hope to see Mo'Rockin and Off Kilter this time.

And here are some of the regulars and must do's!

759645253_qQdpt-O.jpg

I want to catch the Voices of Liberty again, we have only seen them once.

We only saw part of their show this last time, so it's a priority to see the whole thing this time around!

And speaking of water features, watching the Fountain of the Nations for a while is a must!!!

Definitely making time to stop and watch this!

759646279_CMTqQ-O.jpg

 I could watch this every night and not get sick of it. Seriously. I've been listening to the soundtrack at least once a week for almost 3 years and it never gets old.

FOOD IN EPCOT!!!!!!!! :worship:

1003828155_QbAVd-L.jpg

Drool. Strawberry shortcake from Sunshine Seasons.

This is calling to me. Don't worry, shortcake, only 7 months and 20 days until I can eat you myself!

What am I missing? I just thought of Mission: Space. Joe will surely want to do that again while Henry and I explore the dump shop and activity center!

I like Mission: Space. The green (non-spinning) side, at least. (I get motion sickness when I spin). I'm hoping to convince Mom to go on it with me!

Oh and a new personal fav, an avacado margarita at the Tequila bar in Mexico. Sounds yucky but it was fabulous!!

My mom ordered one of these and I tried it, I was surprised at how good it was!

Brook, you've got lots of fun stuff on your Epcot list. You're going to love the F&GF!!

I think Henry will really enjoy the Waste Management thing in Innoventions. There is the Piggy Bank Challenge too if you haven't done that :thumbsup2

I may have to try those gummy candies from Japan, I  gummies!

I googled the EE thing, I wanna be there!

I think of the WS films, the Canadian one would hold the most interest for Henry....I'm making my DH see it this trip because I enjoyed it so much.

La Cantina was my BEST cs meal last trip. I had the chicken tacos and the nachos (not the same day) so YUM!

Your Epcot plans sound great! I am also so tempted by all of the goodies in the Japan pavilion, but never sure what to get.

The storm show in Innoventions...have you done it? I recall seeing a warning that it can be a little scary and reading another poster saying it was a tad intense for their son (Floridians like me). But maybe its not that bad and my Florida "I hate Hurricane's" mentality coming through :rolleyes1

My goal for this next trip is to see at least one WS film! I'm leaning towards Canada...

 :cool1:  for single digits!

WOW!! Such fun EVERYTHING at EPCOT! All your snackoids seem so wonderfully tasty! I still say my favorite it the rice cream in Norway. mmmm, mmmm!

VoL- MUST DO!

I dunno, just everything looks so fun! You're going to have a great time there- how could you NOT??!

I think I probably missed an update, but I agree with everything on your Epcot list. I love both the China and the Canada movies. They are both great. The only drawback is you have to stand for them.

:thumbsup2:thumbsup2 for KP Missions. They are so fun! You will love them!

You know I love Voices of Liberty. They are fabulous.

I love seeing retro Henry pictures. Seriously, he is just one of the cutest little boys. One of the big reasons I am FINALLY going to do FB. I don't want to miss a Henry picture!

sooo I'm home sick with stomach virus  and after all the talk of your last TR on here I decided to check it out...popcorn:: So much fun made me super excited for my trip and how cute is Henry! Thanks for making my day!
