Wait, you mean I'm not 27 pages behind already? Still haven't caught up on the last TR. I always enjoy reading these, and look forward to the play-by-play on Facebook as well.

Two weeks sounds like it should be a blast, but I'm not sure what I'd even do with that much time at Disney. Mostly likely it would be a week or so at Disney, and a week of exploring around the area, hitting the stuff like Kennedy Space Center and the other Orlando resorts, and I'd have to throw some SCUBA into it too (if I ever manage to get the certification, that is.) If I was staying that long I'd also have to be sure to have the trip coincide with the 12 Hours of Sebring race which happens in Mid-March, since that sounds like I'd really enjuoy that.

Oh well. In the meantime, I'll just stick to 1 week at a time (Although I've got a job in which 2 weeks might actually be feasible after I'm here long enough. Having actual vacation time is always a good thing.) Got that coming up though; 7 days in the Caribbean on the Ruby Princess coming up at the end of next month.

Looking forward to reading this as it comes along.

Vexorg - I'm impressed! And as for what we will do with all our time in two weeks....oh, you'll see.... One off-site excursion is planned. Enjoy your cruise, that sounds WONDERFUL!!!

Tim - YES! You'll have to subscribe to ANOTHER thread. LOL! I like to keep my TRs and PTRs in line. But, I'll keep my live updates here, so the TR won't start until after I get back.

Several weeks ago I decided Henry and I needed to get our countdown calendar started - we were on something random, like 42 days to go. I at first tried to make it neat and organized, planning out what it will look like...but when you involve a 3 year old directly in the process you end up with something like this:

Two Weeks From Today....February 26

Two weeks from this exact moment I'll be running around our house, getting ready and packing all the last minute items.

Our flight leaves from JFK at 1:00 pm.

To get to JFK we have two options:
1) Get car service. It's about $40 + tip and tolls
2) Take the subway. We have to take 3 trains, plus the AirTrain that connects to the airport (and costs an additional fare), to get there...and that means climbing 2 sets of stairs.

I usually hate taking a car or a taxi because, well, let's just say the drivers aren't generally safe. And, the biggest reason ---- no car seats. It totally freaks me out. Scary driver + no car seat =

HOWEVER! We know of a car service that does have car seats, and they were GREAT last time we used them. The rate is competitive.

All things considered, stairs, child, luggage, stroller, an hour on the train...or fork out some extra bucks...

We will be riding in style to the airport this trip!!


So, two weeks from today, I'll be running around packing all those last minute items and waiting for our car to arrive. We'll schedule the car to come around 10:00 am. That gives us plenty of time to pack and get ready at home, and plenty of time in the airport to get where we need to be and get some lunch.

We are flying JetBlue this trip - we've never taken them. We had a nice credit (due to the NO St Lucia ordeal back in the fall ) and the prices were loooooooow. We got an awesome deal. I've heard great things about JetBlue as well, so I'm looking forward to the flight!

We have a direct flight, landing at MCO around 3:45.

Unfortunately, due to flight times, we probably won't be hungry - so no stop at the beautiful Chick-Fil-A is in the plans for arrival. Instead, we'll scurry right on down to the ME check-in, board the bus and be on our way to the

By the time we arrive our room should be ready, so we'll go straight up to drop our bags, receive our grocery order (I still have to decide between Garden Grocer and WeGoShop), and settle in a bit.

Our stomachs might start growling fairly soon, and while we don't have any solid plans for the night, I suspect we'll be in Epcot before we know it. Dinner options could be Sunshine Seasons, La Cantina de San Angel, Boulangerie Patisserie, or the Tangierine Cafe. Or who knows, something completely different!

I imagine we'll try to squeeze in a ride or two as well. The crowds are expected to be high this day, and Epcot has PM EMH, so if it's nutty, we might high tail it outta there and go enjoy some of the entertainment over on the Boardwalk.

As always, as I plan, please share your advice, tips, suggestions, and ideas!!!

This morning Henry was watching Dora the Explorer. Dora and her friend were in a coloring book. A coloring book with palm trees. I was busy here, sipping my coffee, not paying attention - but suddenly I hear Joe say, "Ooooh, palm trees. Two weeks." Animated palm trees are even pretty! I'm sooooo looking forward to seeing them, the blue sky and feeling that heat. We look forward to seeing you again too! Henry is excited to meet other DIS kids!
