Two transportation questions

My husband's company Christmas party is being held at Downtown Disney tis year. They're paying for our flights and two nights in a DTD hotel. We're adding on four nights at Port Orleans before the party.

We check into Port Orleans Sunday morning, but will be arriving in Orlando late Saturday night. We have hotel points to use and will be staying at the airport hotel Saturday night. Is there any reason why we wouldn't be able to take Magical Express to our Disney hotel on Sunday morning?

And since we're not spending our entire trip on site, we won't be able to take ME back to the airport. We have a four year old, and I would really like to avoid bring a carseat along if possible. What are my transportation options from DTD to the airport that won't require a carseat? Or, are there any companies that will provide them?

I dont know about the second question but yes it is perfectly alright to take DME the next day. When you get your little packet in the mail, let them know you plan on using it the nex day from MCO to POR. Weve done similar things with DME a few times.

When our son was younger, we needed to get a rental car for a day or two. We had the rental car company add a car seat.

YEs, you can use DME the day after you arrive in Orlando. Just take your bags with you to the DME area, and get checked in. Your bags will go beneath your bus, and handed to you when you reach your resort. You don't really need to let them know this. DME doesn't care when you arrive..just care that you have an active WDW resort reservation, which you will.

As far as getting back to MCO, from your DTD resort...I would hire a towncar and let them know you need a car seat. They will provide one for you. Cabs should be able to do that as well. I just like using a towncar service vs a cab.

I agree with goofy4tink... I would get a towncar that way you know the price of your trip. With a taxi you run the risk of them taking a longer way or getting stuck in traffic.
