I think they'd definitely both fit in the sofa bed. My DH and 3 year old both slept in it one night last week while I brought my 9 month old into bed with me. DH said it was very comfortable!

We have some of those where they were both asleep on the sofa bed wearing captain's hats from the gift shop! You will have a great time.
