DD and I just returned from seeing Ella Enchanted. We loved it! Anne Hathaway was wonderful. It is an adorable movie. There were many little children in the audience that laughed throughout the movie. There were many things in the movie that had to have passed right over their heads, but I thought were very funny. It reminded me of Shrek only with real people. I tend to like anything fantasy, so this was right up my alley. I would recommend it!

Glad you enjoyed it....looking forward to seeing it with DD (12). Thanks for your review.

Took DD's and 4 friends to see it yesterday for DD-14 birthday party. They loved it and I did too. Not fond of Hester but that's OK. I agree with the Shrek fantasy thing.

That's awesome you guys liked it...me and some friends really want to go see it, maybe for my best friends birthday!! I always loved Anne Hathaway!!

i'm going to see it tomorrow. i heard they changed it a lot from the book. can't wait to see it!:teeth:

Just got back and this was an amazing movie! Lots of stuff for adults, lots of stuff for kids. My daughter got the Movie Soundtrack from the easter bunny and that's great too (lot's of hits remade by today's singers). Didn't know Anne Hathaway had such a good voice! Definitely going to get the DVD when it's released.

I'd love to hear from someone who has both read the book & seen the movie. DD (almost 13) & I read the book right before the trailers started running on TV. DD was highly offended at how the storyline seemed to be changed. (She's a purist - what can I say??)

Anyway, we both really liked the book & I was hoping to see the movie. Can you help me talk her into it? :teeth:

My DD 7 really really wants to see this movie. I may take her this weekend. It's got to be better than Home on The Range? I was very disappointed with that one! :o

My DD (12) loved the book. She read that book countless times, it got to the point where I told her to read something else. She was sooo excited when she heard that a movie was being made. Well, she saw the movie Saturday. She hated it. She said it was nothing like the book and in her opinion it was horrible. I haven't read or seen the movie so I couldn't tell you, but boy was she dissappointed. She went to the movies with my sister (15) who also read the book and hated the movie. Maybe they'll be in the minority.

My 9 year old daughter wanted to see it. I had no idea what the movie was about. I went with very low expectations. Was I surprised when I really got into this movie. I LOVED IT.

I love it when a movie can appeal to both children and adults.

Two thumbs up.

:D :D
