Two Stateroom Questions

Hi everyone! ;) The more we thought about it, the more we think we should go ahead with a cruise on the Magic than the Mariner of the Seas. :boat: But, I do have two questions.

How noisy are connecting staterooms? Can you really hear everything that is going on in the other stateroom?

And, how is the location right outside of the midship elevator lobby? Basicly, we're looking at the 6064-6074 area. Anyone stay in this area? Was there a lot of noise? Last time we were way aft, but think we may want to try a different location this time. Also, is the muster station for this area on deck 4 outside?

Thanks so much! :boat:  :earsboy:

I can't answer your questions as to connecting rooms, but we are scheduled to be in Cabin 6069 on the Wonder, Jan 29/04. So I will find out about noise levels then.
I don't know for sure but I would think the muster station would be outside on deck 4 for this area of the ship

we were in 6140 on the Wonder which connets to 6142 I think ... heard our neighbor in 6142 cough once in 4 days ... never head anything from them other than that :)

We were in connecting rooms and I never heard next door. The connecting room was my three childre. Trust me, they're loud! When the doors were closed, I didn't hear them.

We were in 6556 which is right by the mid-ship elevators. Also a connecting room. We never heard our neighbors (a teenager and his 2 little brothers) except when the dad chewed them out - out on the verandah for tearing up the stateroom.

The midship area is a great location...

The connecting rooms are fine. The rooms are all built the same- the only difference is an interior door. And unless you keep it open - you will not find it to be too noisy.
Deck 6 is nothing but rooms. So - here is the truth about being near the elevators. You will hear nothing - except - the parents that allow their children to run up and down the stairs- and if that happens... I would complain.
You really should go w/this ship. The mariner has great stuff for kids - but nothing like DCL

We had connecting rooms and did hear our neighbors quite often. Unfortunately they did not keep their kids quiet. I think if you have noisy neighbors you will hear them. We can't complain though because the reason we had the room (cat 5) was that we were upgraded for free by DCL from cat 8.

Wow, that would have been a nice upgrade. Sorry you had a noisy family beside you, though.
