Two rooms booked for same guest names, on the same night?

Here's the situation. We have reservations in December. We come in late on a Friday night, and are spending 1 night at the Polynesian Studios to check them out, then checking into a Copper Creek Cabin for 3 nights. Because of Covid-19, we are considering making this a staycation and not doing the parks, but the gap between check-out at 11am for our PVB studio and check-in at 4pm for CCV Cabin is problematic for that.

But that Saturday also happens to be my sister-in-law's birthday and she lives in Florida. We were thinking of booking the Polynesian Studio for 2 nights - check-in Friday, check-out Saturday - and letting her, her husband, and kids come out to join us for the weekend social-distance style, and stay overnight on Saturday in the Polynesian Studio. This way we'd have the room available all day Saturday, and they could use it overnight into Sunday, while we are at the CCV Cabin, and this way I don't mind spending the points on a "day room" since we can let her have the room as a birthday gift!

I've added her name to the Polynesian Studio so she'll have access, but what I'm worried about is if Disney will have an issue with us having two rooms on the same night? I'd like to think not since I'm paying for them regardless, but I'd also hate for them to cancel a night if they see two rooms under the same main adult (me). Anyone done something like this before?

Edited to Add: I'm also curious if this is fine, because in situations where we book 2 studios for our family of 4 (our boys are teenagers), we'd love to book them with all 4 guests on both rooms so we can all have MagicBand access to both rooms. And if this is allowed, this is how we'll book the rooms going forward! :)

Disney's system does not like you having 2 reservations on the same day linked to the same MDE names. If we do something like this I will normally use my dummy account for 1 room and my real account for the 2nd room.

As above, you will need to have 2 different names or you will have a problem.

When you say Dummy Account, do you mean you've essentially created a second MDE for that second reservation?

If so, could that Dummy Account still have my name and everything would be fine?

I think my problem is I had already linked them in MDE. Is there a means to unlink reservations in MDE? I don't want to cancel as I'm afraid I'd lose the night, given it's the weekend before Christmas.

Thanks!

So if my name was Mickey Mouse I would modify all the names I can/need to by modifying the reservation. I would than call MS and ask them to change my name on the reservation to M Mouse since you can't change the main person's name online. I would then go back to mde and make a new "friends and family" named M Mouse. I would than do that for each person I need to.

Do not make 2 names that are the same. This will throw off the system and sometimes auto link wrong accounts.

Just reverse who is lead guest. I do it when I have a split stay.

Thanks for the advice! Lucky for me, Poly Lake View opened up this morning for both nights, so I just made a new reservation using my first initial + last name, so I can create a new MDE. I also put my sister-in-law as the fifth guest in the room. I'm currently debating just putting her family on the entire reservation. After all, with online check-in + straight to room, if I check us in online, then there's no reason we cannot use the room the first night even if all of our names aren't on it, since we'd have the magic bands and room key on our phones, right? This way they can make park reservations if desired.

What problem? I'm honestly wondering. I have one reservation, that I made at 11 months, for 10 days. Then I made another reservation at 7 months for the last few days at a different resort, having a split stay. Frankly, I just haven't gotten around to shortening my stay at the first resort, which means that for the last few days I have reservations at 2 resorts, both in just my name since I'll be solo. I haven't called to change things since I figured that with all the reopening going on, and people changing their reservations, that I'll wait a month or two until things are less busy.

I did this and when I checked in at the 1st room, the 2nd reservation, fast passes and ADRs were all canceled. A great CM resolved this after a few hours, but be sure to not have the same name on both reservations.

It sounds as if, as long as I straighten everything out with MS regarding when I'll be where (which is what I'll be doing several months in advance of my trip), I should be OK. I certainly hope so.
