Spring Break March 2026
We started our dvc stay at BLT in a rv 1 bedroom. It was ready just before we arrived around 3:30 on Saturday. At first I was concerned because it was an HA room but after speaking to the cm at the lobby, I learned it was the Florida hearing assistance room. It’s a typical furnished room. We were on the second floor right above the porte chere. We could hear people outside if the door was open but not a big deal. Unexpectedly I could hear the WDW Railroad, which I thought was neat. We sat outside on the balcony in the morning and at night. We watched fireworks that first night and it was just
magical
My husband and I loved the size and quality of the room! Our daughter slept in the LR, and even with the full extra bathroom, we would not stay in 1 bdrm again if it’s more than 3 for more than a few days. We would rather have the kids in a second bedroom. We could not hear people from inside the main bedroom at all. This is a big deal to me.
Mobile ordering food from the Steakhouse 71 and Contempo Cafe was efficient and the food was good, especially at steakhouse 71.
One thing I did not realize prior to staying is that the pools would be shaded in the afternoon hours! Bonus points because I really don’t want to just bake in the sun like that and umbrellas can be difficult to get sometimes. Next time we’re at BLT the pool with be available and that will be an improvement of course.
After three nights we moved to a VGF rv 2 Bedroom Villa. We drove over and enjoyed the pool while we waited for our villa. We were able to get chairs in the shade of a tree. The turkey sandwiches are very good here. The mobile ordering food at Gasparilla Grill was also efficient and good. There is great pool service here. The waterslide is fun! The 2 bedroom at VGF is impressive. Definitely worth the points! This is exactly my husband’s type of resort.
Monorail has been efficient but the boat not so much! Last night we walked back from MK. My husband left before we did and waited 45 minutes he said. I forgot to tell him there was a path ooops. I can’t do everything.
The golf has been a fun part of this trip for him. He loves Magnolia Golf course. He’s meeting people that are super friendly and is definitely happy we’ve bought the dvc points. The parks don’t have this effect lol.
The parks were much busier this year than the last two years. Also warmer? Anyhow we had no problem switching gears to enjoy the resorts! The LL was less effective overall, but I thought the actual LL wait times while in line were very short! We used Minnie Van one time from Epcot to BLT in the afternoon and it was $56
is that a BLT tax lol
We also loved the food at wailulu grill and are having no trouble using the walk up.
I made zero adr nor do we go to the parks early or stay super late. My daughter has a heavy academic load and needs rest this trip. So less is definitely more at wdw for us.
