Two questions about Downtown Disney Parking

Ok first question: I'm assuming that it is ok to go into DL or DCA if you park in the DTD parking lot after you eat at one of the sit down restaurants...
So is it ok? I figure since with validation you get 5 hours of parking that they expect that you will go in the park but I just want to confirm here first.

Second question: During busy times does the DTD parking lot ever get full in the evening and you can't park there?

I don't know about how crowded it gets, since I always just park in the parking structure since I have a PAP, but yes, you get three hours of free parking (five if you get it validated at the movie theater or a restaurant) and you can go to the parks no problem!

We used DTD parking a couply times last year because it is so much easier than using the parking structure. We went late July when the parks were really busy and never once had a problem finding a parking spot. Have a great trip!!
