Two questions about Downtown Disney hotels

We will be in Orlando in October, our first day we will be staying offsite(as yet undetermined location). We are hoping to stay in the DD area. My first question is: will other hotels hold luggage for you before check in or possibly have early check in? Second question: Many hotels have shuttles to the Disney parks, would it be possible for us to take our luggage on the shuttle to MK, then walk to the BLT to check in our second day? Hope these questions make since, if I no one answers on here, I will call hotels. Thanks!

If you mean walking to the Disney resort/park shuttles from DTD, you can't take luggage on the Disney resort shuttles. Whether the hotel would let you do it might vary, their shuttles are usually contracted out. I can't imagine the hotels not having a holding room for luggage though.

Offsite hotels drop off at TTC not at MK. Don't know if you can get luggage on boAt. Doubt offsite hotel will let you take luggage on their bus.

ANY hotel *should* be able to hold your bags, barring a really cheap one I would think.

I would recommend taking a taxi the morning of your switch right to BLT, checking your luggage there (and you never know - you may even be able to check in to your room) then walking over to MK. Then you will have no problems or surprises on your way.

disney will only transfer luggage from one of its hotel.

so either go for a value resort - Pop, All stars movie, sports or music

or get an airport hotel - it has a shuttle to take you back and forth to the airport - next morning take the DME to Disney.
