UV umbrellas are a serious game changer, especially at DHS where it seems like so many lines are in exposed sun.

Not sure if you have young kids, but I found it helpful to bring a few lollipops with me for waiting in lines. Shuts em right up for a little bit .

I’m glad for the umbrella suggestion - as much as I dislike carrying a lot of stuff around at the parks, I think this would be really useful for kids in line.

I use them religiously, that plus a neck fan keeps me cooler than any other method. I actually need to get a replacement one for next time.
