MMBB questions for trip in early 2027

I bought MMBB in early 2025 because we were planning a trip for Dec. 2025. When I called to book our reservations, I bought the discounted 24 points so that I wouldn't have to borrow as much from our June 2026 UY.

I have not yet bought the 2026 MMBB because the next trip will be in Jan/Feb of 2027 to use what is left of our 2026 points (June UY). I don't want to borrow from 2027 because I will be banking them for a family trip in 2028/2029.

I will be booking our 2027 trip when our 7 month window opens in June/July 2026 and I might want to buy OTUP.

It seems that I am out of luck with getting the discounted points for a trip early in the following year, correct? I can't temporarily borrow points because I don't want to use my points 2027 points until 2028.

I guess I will have to buy 2027 MMBB (if it's offered) if I want to have Memory Maker for that trip (in early 2027), correct? I probably won't because it's just me and DH, but I'm just curious.

MMBB seems to only be good if you are planning a trip for later in the year that it is offered, like we did last year. Am I seeing this right?

ETA that I looked on the Member website before posting to read all about it and it says 'benefit season' - I'm not entirely sure what that means. Does it mean during my current use year, in which case I could buy the points in 2026 and get MM for my trip in early 2027?

I think this works.

You have not yet bought MMB for the 2026 calendar year. If you do so, you will be able to buy BOGO OTUP for any Use Year that you can book into during calendar 2026. So, since you are booking the Jan/Feb 2027 trip during calendar year 2026, I think you can use the BOGO points.

I had MMB in 2025. Once I was in the 7 month window, I bought the BOGO OTUP for my Oct UY membership and used those points to book a stay in Feb 2026. As long as you get the OTUP for the correct year, you should be fine.

Thank you for those replies! I think that makes sense but it's not very clear. So, any reservation that I can book in 2026, the MMBB perks are useable, even if the trip is in 2027.

As long as the trip the 2027 trip is still within your 2026 UY.

With June UY that would be before May 31st 2027.

At least I’m pretty sure thats how it works
